I will never take my car anywhere else! Gary is always respectful and straightforward about what work needs to be done and what we should watch, but can wait on a bit. We only have the one car, so getting it worked on can put us in a bind at times, but he's great about working us in to a busy schedule with minimal disruption of our lives. Jarrett is an excellent and efficient mechanic and we always feel welcome and comfortable - even when I have a carload of kids with me. Pricing is fair and questions are always answered patiently and expertly.

Friendly professional service, and their honest!!

They "fixed" exactly what i asked to fix. Prices were up front, no hidden fees. They kept me update, and since i didn't live far a drive back so i didn't have to worry about getting a lyft or taxi. My only issue with them is that they did not correctly tighten a sensor, which caused a slow leak in transmission.

Fabulous place. Fair pricing. My most valued service with them is their honesty. As a woman, I have learned I never have to worry about them taking advantage of me because of my lack of car knowledge. If they are super busy and can't get you right in, they are worth the wait.

Quick to figure out if what I think needs done is what really needs done. They seem to know more than most places about all the computer and sensor stuff going on in cars. I'm pretty handy, but some stuff just needs to be done by professionals like this. They've saved me from myself a few times too. For instance, I thought I needed a valve adjustment on our 6 yr old Honda (probably several hundred dollars). They told me that Honda didn't recommend valve adjustment any more as a "maintenance service and I should save the money.

My truck broke down the other day across town from where my typical shop is. I look these guys up and followed the great reviews to them. The reviews definitely hold true. Austin Auto Repair is fair, fast, and very communicative. I will be coming back!

AAR is my favourite car shop in Austin. Gary and Daniel are very nice men. They fixed my cooling system last year and it works pretty well. Excellent skills with reasonable price! Now, I do every oil change here.

Austin Auto Repair has the best mechanics and service. I have taken my vehicles for different jobs and they have always taken great care of them. Their prices are fair and they do only quality work. I highly recommend this shop.
