Didn’t mind the wait. Nice intimate place, excellent food and service. Bring your own wine. Oh and, do yourself a favor and order the octopus and the quail and the nata for desert. Will return...

If you love seafood and surprises, this is the place to be. They have a short menu that changes most days. You have to bring your own alcohol and have some great sharing plates from their menu. They are very reasonably priced too.

I've been here several times and everything I've had has been fantastic - garlic shrimp with rice, spiced mussels with chorizo, sirloin steak with mashed potatoes, braised octopus with potatoes, Portuguese mini steak sandwiches with hand cut chips. Their egg tarts are so tasty too! Menu items are little pricey but good place for date night/intimate dinner.

Very nice ambiance, the server was very cool and the food was delicious. Apparently the menu changes on a daily basis..!! I will definitely be back. Hopefully the weather will be better and the wife and I will try to garden out door seating.

A wonderful European Cafe with constantly changing menus. The decor is delightful. The chefs are creative and talented, changing the courses based on seasonality and market ingredients. For example, we once had an anchovy dish on Sunday, and it was removed by Wednesday for a dish instead. Despite the changing menu, the quality of the food stays consistent. The taste is unique too, even in New York. There are too few good Portuguese restaurants, but this is one of them.

The menu changes daily. If there are more than 5 people in your party, they offer a tasting menu for $45. The food was very good. The Portuguese egg tarts for dessert were absolutely delicious.

Outstanding hidden gem on Grove. Must go place if you like spanish/Portuguese food, or just great food in general. BYOB makes the experience that much better.

This restaurant is a true find! The food is wonderful! It is a BYOB, great small plates, and inexpensive! How's that for taping into your interest. It is a small space with some outdoor space in the back that is very comfortable and invitingly decorated. The service was outstanding with a waiter who was fun, informative and accommodating to all of our questions. They do take reservations and on weekends probably necessary. If not now, they will be because this place is that good. Go, it's that simple.

I went there with my friend. This is a byob restaurant so we had a bottle of wine. We were two so we couldn't make a reservation and when we got there only the sits at a communal table were available. It was not a problem for us but... We ordered appetizer and two main dishes. It took some time to get the food and when we got the last dish (apparently the waiter thought that we will share dish by dish so I got my dinner after my friend finished hers ;) ) and I just started to eat and still having half a bottle of wine the waiter came and said that we have to leave in 10 minutes because they have this table reserved... During this 10 minutes when I had to hurry to eat my dinner, the small table for two got available. We asked if we can move there and the waiter said "no"! He said, "This is a business, you have to go"!!! Wow! So we were drinking our wine and 10 minutes already past and the party didn't come so we were told that we can finish our wine. When drinking our wine we realized that all customers got cookies after dinner but us! We were never offered any cookies and when we asked we were told that it costs $3. Also, the waiter never offered more water even though he was serving water to other people sitting at the same table right next to us! I have never been treated like that! Never! I will never come back to this place nor I recommend this place, rather opposite, I'm warning people not to go there.

portuguese food, my favorite treat. Nice place to think about business. The staff was sociable and attentive. Bring your appetite because portions are filling. Like a restaurant in Washington I loved.
