Absolutely wonderful. I stop by once a week for pastries, their brunch board is phenomenal and the pop ups are super inventive and fun. Everything about this place is excellent, from the decor and service to the food.

Very rarely do you find a place that will expose you to Scandinavian or Danish cuisine in the USA. That's why we're fortunate to have Kantine in San Francisco.

Really cozy with lots of seating and big windows facing the street. The menu seems to be getting more extensive over time but that’s a good thing since everything is so good. There’s a little nook in the corner with padded benches that’s nice if you have little ones who might want a little room to roam.

Came by to grab the savory porridge and a pastry to go for breakfast. It was a weekday after 9, so the place was pretty empty. They totally forgot about my order, and only started scrambling in the kitchen when I asked how long is it supposed to take to prepare the porridge. At least the porridge was good, though kinda pricy for $16. The savory croissant looking pastry was pretty good, wouldn’t mind getting that again.

Cool spot with a small, rotating menu and great coffee. We got a brunch board and the avocado toast with trout, and two iced lattes. Every single item was fresh and tasty, and the dill herring was spectacular. I didn't bike here this time, but I definitely will in the future as there are big, bright windows facing bike racks on Market.

I tried Kantine for the first time and loved my breakfast. I've always wanted to like oatmeal or other hot cereals, but I've always hated the texture. I decided I would give the porridge a try and I loved it! It had a strawberry puree and peaches for sweetness, but what really made it for me was the consistency of the grains. They were creamy but had nice little crunchy bits that made it so yummy. I didn't try the danishes but they looked beautiful. It is a bit pricey but, hey, this is San Francisco. I will definitely go back!

One of my favorite places for quality Scandinavian food. Super appetizing. Prices are decent for the quality. Reminds me of a place in New York I liked to visit.
