Company Description

Northwest Counseling & Wellness Center (NCWC) was established in 1996 in response to the rapidly growing and underserved communities of northwest Austin. Most treatment centers at that time were providing each client with very similar, western, medical model programs for alcohol and drug addiction treatment and mental health services. Meanwhile, research was saying that no single approach is appropriate for all individuals.

Horrible. I told them my wife hit me and they discount it

this place is awful. the group leader has made things worse. I'm more depressed now than I was when I went in for the first time. she lies constantly (tried to money grab by requesting my insurance extend my number of sessions despite my having met legal requirements), makes irrational requests (with the 'because I said so' rationality), is very passive-aggressive (agrees with you then two minutes later is back to disagreeing with this smart alec grin) and is vindictive (went out of her way to lengthen my probation). if you are there for legal problems, she was dishonest to my PO and may cause me to have my probation extended. she also made me write a letter at the end that she would then send to me six months later. which is fine, but she said I was to seal it in an envelope myself (so that no one could read it). yet she just took it from me and said she'd seal it herself. I mean, come on. that was private info that she obviously read. just really a POS place, stay away

My counselor, Kerri Dees, is amazing. She's been incredibly supportive and insightful. She's helped me so much.

Can't say enough good things about NCWC and the entire staff. They are an oasis in the desert focused on holistic care and well being. Brendan Harvey is genuine and caring and I am so grateful for him in particular.

I love this place and their practices. They take a more natural approach to mental health and it has made all the difference in the world! I would recommend this place to anyone needing help.
