I asked for deveined shrimp and well done beef, when I got home I had all veined shrimp and pink meat... vegetables had a strong taste... I was just sadly very disappointed...
A classic Louisville restaurant never disappoints. My parents used to take each of us after our piano recitals & on our 13th birthday, so it has special memories for me. Their dim sum menu & presentation isn't as good as Jade Palace's, but the food is always on point. The service is terrific, too.
I love this place. The prices are great and the portions are huge. When I take my friend there, we split a platter and get an appetizer and leave full. Also lots to do in the area, so you can make a whole evening of it.
The food is a true taste at Chinese cuisine. Its delicious and love all of the people who work there.

I have been going to the Oriental House since I was a child. The atmosphere is great. We had the crab rangoon, hot and sour soup, a three-meat noodle dish and the green beans and pork. The portions where large and the food was very good. The only down side was that our waiter appeared not to care to wait on two women and went about doing other insignificant things while making us wait to get our to-go boxes and our check. Having worked in restaurants quite a bit, I am a very good tipper. This waiter lost 5% off his tip. However, I usually find the wait staff here to be very good and quite friendly and helpful. I will always return to the Oriental House for their good food and atmosphere.
