I've been attending Seattle Community Church since 2006, and it's my home! My family and I have formed many friendships there that go well beyond church. Our kids like Sunday School, and the Youth Ministry (GANG) is a blast for my older daughter. I've taught kindergarten age Sunday School (humbling!), did the Welcoming Ministry for a while, but most recently I've been kickin' it with the Praise Band and I think I'll keep doing that! We have participated in several small groups on topics such as marriage, children, and personal transformation. Our family has also done the downtown Feeding Ministry a few times. If you visit SCC, please stay for lunch! It's frequently quite good and this is a great way to catch up with friends.

I love this church. We had been searching for a church in Seattle for nearly 3 years and decided to visit SCC just to check it out, not anticipating we'd find a place to stay. I cannot say enough about their children's ministry-- my kids used to be resistant about going to church and now cheer to get to go. My husband and I have different faith backgrounds and both of us feel welcome and accepted here. Pastor Fred has created a place that is accepting, it is solid yet open to new viewpoints-- it's really an amazing place. Come for the service, stay for fellowship over breakfast or lunch!

A great church, with a very welcoming membership. Pastor Fred is funny, enthusiastic, and kind. They play lots of energetic music and have a fantastic children's ministry program for the kids. They also have a huge feast in the basement of the church *every week* after the 11am service.
