Company Description
The name “Ssyal” translates to “seed” in Korean. As the name implies, we wanted to be sprout as a real Korean taste in the Chicago area. Since our humble beginnings as a ginseng farm, we have proudly become a staple of authentic Korean cuisine for the past 30 years. And as always, our mission of providing exceptional tasting Korean food and gracious hospitality to our neighbors in Chicago has remained unchanged.

Had a good experience here with my kids. The food comes rapidly and the service is just great. Prices are convenient.
Had a great dinner. Main dish was the best plus, side dishes were fresh and tasty. Definitely coming back. Highly recommended. We got in close to closing but they let us in and the service was really fast and great.
The food tastes ok. Seafood pancake is really good. But it takes very long time for the food to be ready.
I came in to order something quick for my 1st in house Korean experience. I was thinking about the dumplings but ended up with the egg custard appetizer. Not bad. Enjoyed it with a Korean imported beer. (KLOUD). Stay tuned. I found myself back at Ssyal Friday evening to see if the dumplings would skate across the table like the egg custard. They did. Using chopsticks, I eased through the appetizer which seemed like an exquisite meal. The food stayed at a consistent hot temperature throughout my incubation period with the chopsticks. Careful if you are a beginner. The dish will dance around on the glass table. Tasted delicious.
This is one of the best Korean Style chicken restaurants. The owner is so kind and informative. Foods taste amazing! Gotta check it out.
Fourth time here. Nice and hot soup, good service. A good place to eat in winter. Will come again.

I was drawn in by the “Korean food” sign, and was surprised to find that this is a very nice, sit down restaurant I had never heard of! It’s lovely inside— simple, calming, and good service. Food came out pretty quickly and was hot and yummy! Thanks. !
I ordered the beef bulgogi to-go for dinner and really enjoyed the dish! It was not overly sweet or coated in sauce as some of the less authentic dishes could be. It definitely tasted like what they said, a homemade recipe! I'm looking forward to trying some of their other more popular dishes in the future as well.
We arrived at this place for a meeting. my friend recommended this place. Well, it was a winning. The crew welcomed us with a smile and we felt very good. The food was just great. We had a great time and we will visit this place again. We recommend this place to all.
