Sunset Animal Hospital is proud to serve the Los Angeles CA area for everything pet related. Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is run by Dr. Selva Kumar, who is a licensed, experienced Los Angeles veterinarian.

I have been going to Dr. Kumar for years with my cats. He shows deep compaction for all animals, and has always been there for me when one of my cats has a problem. His staff is kind and caring, and I know my cats are being well taken care of with minor or serious problems. He has personally called to follow up on one cat that had surgery. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Kumar is a very candid, friendly professional who will not beat around the bush to get you to do what's not necessary. We lived in TX and CA is very expensive for us. But for a Vet in the Hollywood area, his rates are very reasonable. We took our 4 year old Cocker to get a profesional second opinion for his eye surgery and he explained everything concisely giving us the best options, at very reasonable estimates to choose from and left it upto us. Wasn't sterring us one way or another. Definitely he's not one of the Vets who wanted to make money off of us because he didn't charge us for even coming for a consultation. Highly recommend him if you don't need a super specialist for your pet. He has good staff that he works with as well.

We are grateful to have been referred to Dr. Kumar a few years ago - she takes great care of our aging shepherd, is thorough and kind, and as others said won't upsell you or overcharge. Their office is no-frills in the best way - they do their jobs well and take great care of the animals!
I have taken all of my pets (and there have been many!) to Dr. Kumar for more than 15 years. He is so honest and will not over charge or up-sell you the way other vets can. His staff ALL love animals. The office is a no-frills and humble place where the animals get the best care for the least amount of charge. He has even saved some of my friend's pets when other vets recommended putting them down - and they went on to live up to 10 years longer. I'm a huge fan! And, Edgar is THE BEST!
