It was really good, and the portion is Huge. It came with rice but it have lots of chicken for just $12. It's worth the money and the taste was delicious. I have to bring home for second meal. The people there were very friendly too. Will definitely go back again.

Wow. Got the fried chicken meal ($12) and fried dumplings to go. The meal weighed almost 2.5 pounds in the box! Easily two meals. Best fried chicken I've had in a while. Not a heavy oil kind of fried chicken. Light and tasty. The dipping sauces give you variety. Super sweet madam took my order. A cool discovery for sure!

I’m sitting here with my sister devouring the original and crispy Hainanese chicken and downing the delicious soup! The first bite reminded me of the Hainanese chicken I had in Singapore. The chicken is moist and the sauces, they are bursting with flavor. Each bite is like a party in your mouth. They also give you slices of cucumbers, the largest cucumber slices we have ever encountered. This will easily become a place we will frequent often. The gentleman taking our order was super helpful and can I just take a moment to rave about the kitchen? One of the cleanest kitchens I’ve ever seen. Don’t miss out on the soup too! Huge food portions and another super win for a mom & pop restaurant! It’s great to be able to support a community restaurant while reaping their delicious rewards!!

It is a simple restaurant that you can take out or eat in. Order at the counter and get your number, wait for the food. Soup is really good, and their ginger sauce is the best in the LA county. Fried chicken or steamed chicken with the rice, each order is $12. Everything comes in the boxes. The portion is okay compared to the price.

I love this place. The food is always on point. I like to combine the fried chicken with the steamed chicken. Their sauce is amazing. A bit spicy, but very tolerable. Whoever's in charge of the marketing of this restaurant is a genius. I love everything about this place. A+

Chicken Crack. Basically. It's not fancy. It's simple. It's done well. It's friendly. The fried chicken is addictive and the regular delicious and you can tell yourself a healthier choice..

I had the Original Hainan Chicken w/ rice and I really enjoyed it! The flavor was perfect and food was very healthy — no grease at all. The chicken was cooked perfectly. I definitely recommend this place and plan to order again!

Stopped here on a whim. We don't live in the area, but happened to be driving by, hungry of course, and decided to try it out. We were pleasantly surprised, the food was great and Chris' customer service is off the charts. We only ordered one Fried chicken with rice and Egg Rolls, so glad we only got one of each as there was plenty of food for the two of us. Although we don't live out this way, we'll definitely be coming back for an occasional visit. We totally recommend trying this place out.

Thai-style Hainan Chicken in the South Bay. I was skeptical at first so I ordered delivery the first time around. It was pretty good so I later made a dine-in visit. Was slightly better. The difference was negligible so I may do more delivery orders in the future. But the reduction of a star comes from couple of factors. First, for half a star, the sauce for the fried chicken is way too sweet. I understand they advertise it as "sweet and tangy", but this was too much and was hard for me to find a good balance. Use too much and it's like I'm drinking sugar, use too little and all I'm tasting is the fried breading. I think it could be way improved if the sweetness was toned down a great deal so I can enjoy both the taste of the sauce and the breading. I've tried it in a different experience with the 'other' sauce meant for the normal non-fried chicken. It wasn't as sweet but still very tangy. The other half star was reduced because while they do give a VERY generous portion of chicken, there just wasn't enough rice to accompany and balance out the flavor. I didn't bother asking for more rice, because most places have an extra charge. I should ask next time just to confirm, but I'll cross that bridge when I go back again.

I ordered delivery from Taishi for dinner. Got 1 of the original and 1 of the fried chicken. Both were very tasty and the original was especially tender. However I do wish there was more variety on the menu or even in the dish. I got bored of eating just chicken and rice after a few bites. My plate didn't come with many slices of cucumbers, I was really craving some veggies...
