What is Application Virtualization Software?
Application virtualization is basically a software technology which encapsulates the computer programs from underlying operating system upon which it is being executed. A virtualized application does not installed in the conventional sense, however, it is executed as if it were already exist there. The application acts at runtime as it is directly interfacing with an actual operating system and all resources are being managed by it, but could be isolated to different degrees.
Benefits:-
- It allows applications to run in such a environments which do not suit native application.
- Decreases the system integration as well as the administration costs by maintaining common software baseline.
- It makes use of less resources than an individual virtual machine.
Features:-
- Supports wide range of applications or application types.
- It is capable of delivering broad range of endpoints with less restrictions like driver management, and many more.
- It provides ease of deployment.
