What is Converged Network Adapters?
A converged network adapter or CNA for short, is single Network Interface Card (NIC) which includes both Fibre Channel, host bus adapter and a TCP/IP Ethernet NIC. It connects the servers to storage area networks (SANs) and to the local area networks (LANs).
Benefits:-
- It helps in risk mitigation by the compatibility with the existing SAN environments as well as drivers
- Lowers the system CPU utilization for Input-Output operations, that leads to faster application performance.
Features:-
- Provides superior network support along with TCP/IP.
- Allows easy to deploy and also manages with the OneCommand
- Protocol offloads support enables virtual machines per server
