there are smaller rooms in this restaurant for more intimacy. We ate in the large dining area which was full but still had a nice dinner. The souvlakis(kebobs) are excellent and the seafood was really good as well.the food was served very quickly after we ordered and the prices were reasonable. very busy place but fun to eat here. Amazing Greek food. Service is wonderful. Atmosphere is fun and friendly. Much better Greek dishes than available anywhere else in Chicago!
If you love Greek food, this is the place to be. Besides having a large selection of Authentic Greek food, the service was top notch as well. The lamb lollipops chops dinner offers five chops perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The sides were wonderful and the flaming cheese was perfect. Greek food better than it has to be!
Love Athena! They have free valet so you never have to worry about parking. Their outside/covered patio is a fantastic experience that allows you to enjoy the weather but be safe if it rains. Their food is always food and the portions are generous.
Really great food and excellent service. Good convenient location on Halstead just south of Adams. Nice and clean inside. Nicely decorated for Christmas.
I think the age old adage, "no news is good news" applies here. Everything you expect from a restaurant, good food, great and personable wait staff, nice ambiance can all be found here, you will not be disappointed. Only negative would be the bus staff should be more attentive in cleaning up empty and used dishes from the table. Overall, a pleasant dining experience.
Happened to walk past this while craving Greek food. I could have not predicted it would be the best overall food I've ever had. Great service, delicious food and quick service. I don't know what else you could ask for. I'll definitely be going back any time I'm in Chicago and I recommend you do the same.
I'm from out of town and was craving for Greek food. Athena happened to be close by to where I was staying. The price is decent. The service and food were great. The restaurant had a cute little charm to it. I would definitely come back here the next time I am in Chicago
This place is OK. Our waiter was kind of rude, especially if we asked him a question. I ordered a Greek coffee which I’ve had before but this one tasted dirty like the machine that made it hasn’t been cleaned in a long time. Food was mostly good. Everyone seemed to enjoy their plates and the saganaki was delicious. Only issue I had was with my plate where I found 2 hairs in it. GROSS! These were short hairs so they definitely weren’t mine.
A bright and airy atrium type of restaurant with a homey feeling. And great Greece food with a nice twist. Service was exceptional for a crowded as it was at 7PM on a Saturday. Fun Greek styled drink menu was a plus.
Wow. Really enjoyed myself. Had never Saganaki, and it was amazing. It was what brought me here. Let me tell you the food, the service, atmosphere is spectacular! Laura and Michelle were very kind and welcoming. Two best bartenders I've found in Chicago if not the Globe! Highly recommend.
The food is always yummy and consistent. I myself used to work here in the summer when I was 18 or 17. I know the back of the kitchen and the owner is a nice man. I can assure you this family owned restaurant is nice and clean. There is no micro wave here. I always come eat and visit one of the best waiters of all time: Salvador. He’s a Greek Town legend. Also Stasis he’s a great man. Tigris is the man and his brother! Tigris and his swole brother are awesome guys. Don’t come often wish I could, a fine Greek Restaurant. My highest respect to the owner and his kids. They were always there present and that says a lot. I hope they remain successful forever. A Greek restaurant in Greek town that I hope will become an institution. The food is YUMMY and REASONABLY priced. Can’t go wrong with this one.
