Dr. Bhakta is Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and The American Board of Pain Medicine. He received his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering/ Pre-Medicine from the University of Memphis in Memphis, TN. He then continued on to medical school at East Tennessee State University and subsequently completed his internship and anesthesiology residency at the University of Tennessee in Memphis where he developed an interest in pain management.

The best pain Doctor in the State! I have a traumatic back injury with a cage, 2 rods, 2 straps and 6 screws. The first time I came Dr Bhakta spent more time assessing my needs than the 3 other pain specialists I have previously seen combined. I've been with him for 2 1/2 years and I pray he never retires, he's truly about helping people and not just the cash.
Exceptional, highly recommended. Sent reports to all other treating doctors, and they commented on the quality of his attention to detail (never had that happen before).
