This company has to be a fraud or scam. They had me on for a month i called to report a change and the woman Joyce Snow wrote saying i voluntarily said i no longer need there services. While my daughter had a full week at the daycare she attends. So not only do I pay double the child care number to call will forward you to extentions that are not in use. All messages left dont get a response. Just seems to me like this business is a scam.
They give good service and info
Giving them one star because I can't give no stars. The process is HORRIBLE!!!!. They will find every reason not give you assistance. Paid $720 a month in childcare for 7 months before my name reached the top of the list. Was denied because I wasn't working at the time of the application but was offered a job and didn't start until 2 weeks later because of scheduling issues. I tried explaining this to them but no one cares. AWFUL.
I am honestly thankful for the services that CCG has provided for me and my two daughters. although I stay in Kaufman county they helped me get every thing switched over on their end in a timely matter.. I had NO PROBLEMS . thank you again CCGroup
People who don't work they will gladly assist them with funding to sit at home and send their kids to daycare facilities. Yet for a "single" mom who's just trying to do the BEST they can has to pay back ALL funding that helped her abide within the realms of the law, for childcare with kids. The income requirements/guidelines should definitely be reviewed. Likewise ALL, bills and parents who are obtaining a degree expenses should be figured in as well. This organization is in dire need of help with accounting and consumer planning strategies for service benefits rendered. If I were you searching and reading this for an "opinion" of rather or not to utilize the services. If you are: One who doesn't work and has a lot of other government subsidiaries-Go for it! If you are one that with every breath in your body you do everything possible to work and provide for your children and just need a little help to abide within the realms of the law , seeking childcare assistance. Pray and ask God to help because 10 times out of 9 you probably will end up paying the money they helped with back to the organization. It's sad the way the system works.
I left several boxes of donation items on my front porch, for my favorite charity to pick up. But apparently they didn't get it - ChildCareGroup picked it up instead (and left their receipt). I'd never heard of ChildCareGroup, nor did I want to give over $250 worth of items to them! Do they just drop by and pick up anyone's charity boxes from their porches??? I called their number and left a message but of course never heard from them. They seem really dishonest, to me.
I'm giving them 1 star because you can't give ZERO!! Child Care Group is by far the worst organization when it comes to assistance. They're not determined to help families who TRULY need assistance. They will give you the run around for months and months, and then magically tell you that you aren't even on the waiting list. If you are a parent who's actually working or going to school and doing something with your life they're not going to help you. They are set up to help the parent who sits on their lump all day long working for pennies. I'm a single mother of one, and by single mother I mean the other parent is deceased. Without even knowing the rest of my story can you imagine knowing that I was denied assistance!! They make so many excuses as to why you don't qualify or tell you you didn't submit your documents, even though you have a receipt saying that you DID!! The whole system and foundation of CCG is ridiculous... so if you want a headache and to add more stress to your life by all means contact them. But for those of you who want a peaceful experience find a different organization that actually CARES!! Because this is not it!!

Established in 1901, this non profit organization focuses on helping children. 92% of ChildCare Group's funding directly supports the nationally recognized programs they provide for low income children, families as well as early childhood development thru teachers. All donations are tax-deductible and for a good cause. They sell the items at their thrift store in Irving and the profits help those in need in the Dallas area. About twice a year they mail me a postcard with a date that they'll be in my area picking up donations. I just box or bag up the items, label it "Child" than leave it on my porch. No matter rain or shine it's picked up before it's dark outside. I've only ever seen one man pull up and load everything.... So I try to remember that when boxing stuff up so it's light enough for one person to carry. I declutter my house while helping the community. Can't get much better than that.
