I usually do not give reviews, but I was really impressed!!! I was referred to Dr. Greer concerning potential serious eye issue. I went into Dr. Greer Office on a Monday, he asked me questions, listened to me as I explained my symptoms (this was way different than the first doctor I went to, Dr. Greer actually listened!!), he asked about my history, checked my eyes, and reassured me that I just had dry eye and mild case of conjunctivitis. After his diagnosis and treatment, walking out the first day, my eye felt better. I followed his directions concerning the medication and was amazed at how fast my eye cleared up. When i returned to his office Thursday, my eye felt and looked better, fastest recovery Ive ever seen! Thanks Dr. Greer!

I had a great experience with Dr. Greer. He even saw me on a Sunday and made sure that my eye was completely healed. He walked me through exactly what he was going to do and was extremely helpful. I would recommend him in any emergency eye care situation.

Dr. Greer is one of the most thorough and professional doctors i have met in DC. I had come in due to pink-eye reinfection. Seriously, who gets pink-eye at 29? I thought pink eye is for kids! But I digress. Dr. Greer did a thorough examination, including a side vision test, pupil dilation, a battery of visual exams, and a re-examination of my current eye glass prescription. He also asked me detailed and thoughtful questions not only about my current condition but also any past history of illness. He even found that I have mild astigmatism, something that many other doctors in the past have failed to figure out. His office is in a building right across from the Metro Center. One thing to note is that he will not directly take your insurance information. He prefers that the patient pay their bill (he accepts cash, check, and credit cards) at the time of service, and the individual is responsible for contacting their insurance company for a reimbursement. Nevertheless, I thought that his fees were reasonable and fair.

I went to Dr. Greer on a Sunday for an emergency eye situation. I was referred to him by a walk-in clinic in VA that could not help me. When I called Dr. Greer, he answered the phone personally, asked all the right questions and was waiting for me when I arrived. Since I was there on a Sunday afternoon, his was the only office occupied. For some reason, that unsettled me a bit. However, I chose to ignore the empty offices and I'm so glad I did. I could not have been more pleased with his expertise and delivery of service. After an exam, he knew exactly what I'd done to my eye. He treated the problem, gave me some drops and I was good to go. While you have to pay when you receive his service, he gives you the necessary paperwork to file with insurance. I thought his fees reasonable and he gave me the eye drops at his cost.

Words can't explain how thankful I am for Dr Greer since having met him a couple months ago. I have never had any eye problems, 20-20 visions, generally pretty lucky when it comes to vision health. However, earlier this ear I ended up getting Uveitis and my Urgent Care referred me to Dr. Greer. He fit me in last minute on a Saturday, thoroughly explained what was going on with my eye and how we would fix it. He checked in on me the next day and several days after to make sure I was feeling better. Despite being an emergency appointment and requiring medicine, his costs were incredibly reasonable. Then once again, last Friday night I was accidentally stabbed in the eye with a straw and scratched my cornea up pretty bad. My roommate called Dr. Greer at 7:30 in the morning, he answered, then because we couldn't get to his office due to the women's march he MADE A HOUSE CALL! Literally this man is a god-sent. I was such a mess and so uncomfortable and in 15 minutes he fixed my life. Again, thorough follow up and very reasonable costs. 10 stars for this man.

Amazing and Pleasant Doctor! I am so happy I found Dr. Greer. He got me in the schedule the same day despite me missing my initial appointment a few weeks ago. He truly cares and from the moment I first spoke to him, I knew he'd be awesome. I am going to recommend him to all my fellow eye friends!

I was referred to Dr. Greer by a walk in clinic on a Saturday morning and he saw me that same day. He was able to determine the problem and treat me quickly and professionally. Very thankful for his services and he will be the first person I go to for any eye-related problems in the future.

Warning!!! I visited Dr. Greer with the understanding that he did not accept insurance but the price doubled from what he quoted me on the phone and a simple lancing of a stye on my eye was almost $500 and it did not even drain because he did not lance it properly. When he walked in the office everything in me told me to walk out based on his appearance alone but like an idiot I followed through with my appointment. I paid an expensive lesson, don't you do the same...

My dad had an issue with blurry/lack of vision on one eye when he woke up. Called Dr Greer and he made himself available on the same day. Diagnosed right and gave medication the relieve the pain. After second inspection he decided to refer to Ophthalmology at GW hospital for further treatment. He called us several times and followed up, even after my parents were back on Switzerland. Great empathy and very nice doctor. And he even spoke German, which made things even easier!

I was referred to Dr. Greer through urgent care. It's obvious that he knows what he's doing. He had me diagnosed and in and out of the office within twenty minutes. He also went above and beyond to make sure to follow up with me. He doesn't take insurance, but you can send in for reimbursement to your insurance after. He's definitely worth that extra step.
