Review & Rating
I would not recommend Dr. Wendy Wolfson overall. She has good qualities: she is available on short notice; prompt; knowledgable about medications; she listens attentively. But she speaks negatively of people with serious suffering/diagnoses: bipolar and schizophrenia. In my opinion, she is othering of these communities. I don't have either of these diagnoses, and so she felt free to make her disparaging comments in my presence. I felt very uncomfortable with this, and it was one of the reasons I disengaged from her. The other reason was that she made a show of being all available, but she actually wasn't. Or just erratically so. From one day to the next, she seemed to resent me for calling on her and made negative comments. And when I say calling on her (for advice on meds I'd just gone on), I mean not that much--just what was considered normal with other psychiatrists I had.
