Cities of refuge in the Bible were designated places where someone who had accidentally done wrong could go to escape and could safely wait until trial. The church serves the same purpose, it is a refuge for you and I, sinners, to go to and be protected from the avenger of blood, to avoid making the payment of sin ourselves and take on God as our Lord and Savior and offer up his payment to the cost of sin being death, all the while waiting for Judgment Day.

Great atmosphere
I had a great experience at First Church of God. The people are friendly, and the pastor preaches the true word of God. Although there are many members, the church tries to reach out to all the members.

As a visitor I found members very inviting and warm. Bishop's message was enlightening.
I turned around in there parking lot.Very Convenient..Went to a conference there too.
