I went to the Betty Lou Ourisman Center for my annual mammogram appointment at 11:45 on Friday January 5. I live over an hour away but have continued to use this center when we moved from the DC area 2005. On my original paperwork, my Doctor had written in an another procedure in addition to my mammogram. That hand note caused my paperwork to be flagged. I waited for two hours to be seen. I was finally sent to my OBGYN office to try to obtain my paperwork. I was told the doctor on call was busy on clinical rounds and could not be bothered. Since no one could tell me when the paper work would be signed, I left. I still do not know if my paper work was ever approved. This is pretty pathetic, especially since I have been going to this center for decades and I am there for a medical test!

Great place, everybody is been very friendly and supported, their treatment program is amazing, I can't ask for a better place to fight cancer.

Perhaps because it is a teaching hospital, the care truly is comprehensive, and I find that every person involved with patient care seems genuinely concerned and and are very forthcoming and thoughtful in providing information about the patient’s diagnosis and prognosis.
