In January 1916, the Rev. W.G. Mayfield, an evangelist minister with a small courageous band of Christians met in the residence of the late Deacon and Mrs. M.J. Lathom and daughter, Mattie Lee with Rev. and Mrs. W. H. Woods and daughter, Rev. and Mrs. Matt Frazier.

I love Greater Union Baptist Church. It's a friendly place of worship and I always come away with a good word in my heart. I have also participated in several events and had a wonderful time. Members of my family have been here for over 40 years. Now that says something!!!
We attend regularly and we enjoy the music the service the friendship
