Worst place ever. The list is too long to write and I don’t have the energy to write about it for now. I will be talking about it to a supervisor and my case manager and hopefully this place shuts down because it needs to.
I was there for a month because my situation was different then the average but the doctor flooded me with pills, pills that no one under the age of 18 should take, I was 15 the therapist there were on a power trip and didn’t let you speak your mind during groups, this place did not help at all, but shout-out to mr.keenon And mr.josh they made that place tolerable they treated you with respect if you respected them and helped you out like a friend would help a friend. There was also another staff that worked on the weekends that was a part time school counselor and he was an amazing role model he was smart and always knew the best advice to give but other then those guys the place was terrible, they barely had snack and the food was horrible the showers were cold and the room does were broke so every time they opened them t would wake everyone up I went in there only taking one pill and came out taking 7 (without counting the constant medicine change they made me go through) shoutout to those staff but this place was terrible
I wouldn't even take my terminally ill animal here. This is where CPS drops off unwanted children until they can find a home for them. My child came back worse than what they went in for. If you try to get them removed they will call CPS on you. Upon discharge I was told it was $60 co-pay. Now I have a bill from the facility and another from the Doctor for 3k.
Spent a week there after some stupid things I did to keep my family to in my life. It wasn’t till my family session that I truly saw the hurt and shame I brought to my wife and two wonderful kids. I know my drinking was bad, but I thought I could handle it. The therapist taught me how to start to gain control and how to open up to my wife. I’m very thankful I was brought to this hospital.
Where do I begin ? It started with two male techs that threatened my 14 year old son (Mr. Tim & Mr. Keenan) which they were placed on different units until the discharge of my son. My son dosage was changed without my consent, I left 18 messages for Dr. Starbranch (9 days straight) and none of them were returned until I threatened to bring the police with me to get my son. They will absolutely drug your loved one to the max to extend the stay (whatever for money) they DO NOT CARE about no one human. Not all of the staff is bad but the majority is. WHATEVER YOU DO... DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONE here, EVER! What sense does it make to admit your loved one to a place where you are seeking help, just for them to be mentally abused... To everyone involved, I will not sleep until you pay for your actions.
This place employs lazy people with a bad attitude. The staff is incompetent and they seem to avoid responsibility. With the exception of two maybe three employees this establishment is horrible. The staff loves sitting down on a chair doing nothing. They just dont care. They hire low quality people.
Great hospital to work in, excellent physicians and great staff. Management staff is attentive to patient needs and new Chief nursing officer is doing an amazing job at patient care!!
Patients are taken care of by some of the best Physicians in the city of Houston. Above all, patient care is the most important thing and these guys get it right. Behavioral Health is not an easy specialty of medicine, it takes compassion and the want to help others in crisis. Here they do exactly that!! Great Job HBHH!!
Don’t understand why there are so many bad reviews ..when I stayed there for over a week it was one of the most attentive hospitals I’ve ever been too. The techs and nurses were very helpful and informative and the facility was always clean. A close friend of mine recommended this facility to me and she and I had a great experience with our recovery. I’ve been to other places and if you think this place had too many regulations you surely haven’t been to others. I recommend it 🤷🏼♀️
Jacky the Patient Advocate was amazing. My father had to be transferred to a medical hospital and due to the emergency he was unable to get his wallet and phone. Jacky drove to the hospital and brought my father his items. She was so sweet and genuined cared about his well being. The nurses were nice to my father at Houston Behavioral as well. Cindy the RN was so helpful during this rough time my father is going through.
One phone call changed my life!!!!! The staff in the admissions department were very honest and told me up front what to expect when I arrived....Staff there were very attentive and my wait time for the total process was just over an hour. Nurses and techs on the unit were very helpful too.. I stayed there for over a week and it was one of the most beneficial hospitals I’ve ever been too. A close friend of mine recommended this facility to me and he and I had a great experience with our stay. I recommend it 100%
