Recently attended the Special Education Mediation training (3 days) and would highly recommend the same to Special Education teachers, facilitators and administrators as well as attorneys. Well worth the price of admission. Atlanta is truly fortunate to have the JCA.

Melissa and Shawn did an excellent job helping me prepare for a career in mediation! I’ve had prior training at a local university, but it did not compare to the level of instruction I received at the Justice Center of Atlanta.

mediocre conflict resolution skills, completely ill equipped to handle situations where a party is hostile. I had the opposing party make a threat to me and when I asked for the police to be called nothing happened. Instead I was told by a AJC staffer that all they could do was escort me out of the building. This was after I reported to the mediator that the plaintiff had made threats to me in court previously to which I was told to just stick to the facts of the current case. No one did anything and instead told me to wait until they gave me the court date paperwork and then I could have an escort; all while the opposing party was allowed to roam free and unsupervised in their facility. I left and sat in my car in the parking lot only to have an AJC employee come up to me in my car and knock on my window and admonish me for leaving the building and tell me that I could only call the police if I was not on the property and then asked me to leave. What a disgusting group of people.
