Company Description

For over 70 years Mary Mac’s has been setting the standard for Southern cooking in Atlanta. Business people, celebrities, families and world travelers all dine at Mary Mac’s and feel right at home. In fact, in March of 2011 The Georgia House of Representatives created Resolution 477, in which Mary Mac’s was officially declared to be Atlanta’s Dining Room. An honor of which we are very proud, yet extremely humbled, and to which only one restaurant in the world may lay claim.

Seriously the best fried chicken I have ever had! The service here was top notch and my server(Donna I believe) was super nice and attentive. Really enjoyed my meal here. The other food I ordered was phenomenal. I have thought about the fried chicken several times since being back in California. Nothing compares. Lit-er-ally NOTHING!

I was invited for Holiday Dinner to dine at Mary Mac's Tea Room. The wait was two hours long. The food was warm not hot. The Coconut Cake was very good. I will try it again. The next time I can get give a higher score. Many people in line spoke highly of the food. I think a investment in benches outside the restaurant would be nice.

Not sure how I haven’t posted a review on Mary Mac’s yet, but it’s hands down the spot I take friends to when they want real Southern cooking. They have an extensive menu, but their sides are my fave!!! Ample free parking in the back, but get there early for lunch! You could spend hours going through the various rooms checking out the folks who have bee there and the stories behind it all. The staff are super friendly and really never had a bad experience here, a true tradition in Atlanta!

I loved this place. The food flavor was wonderful except it was cold. The parking was free if one could find a spot in the lot, street parking also available. The prices range approx $20 - $27 per meal; southern comfort food. The manager did come to our table, offered to prepare the meal again (we said not necessary) and she insisted on comping dessert because the food was cold. Service was exceptional and we will return.

Lived in Georgia most of my life and finally got to try some food at this famous restaurant. If you’ve never been here before, you order with the slips of paper and pencil from appetizer all the way to dessert. The service here was very attentive and helpful but the food I would have to say is just on par with all the other Southern cuisine restaurants in the area. Would recommend any fried chicken item here as well as the bread pudding. The rolls come with your meal but I couldn’t stop eating them.

Went for my birthday. We had to wait but it was so worth it. This was my second time going and I haven't been disappointed yet. Always good, fresh food(delicious also). The chicken will have you licking your fingers for sure. I enjoyed the meatloaf and greens the most. Definitely looking forward to my next visit.

Decent food, good service. You'll not be disappointed coming here. However, I do feel like it's not quite as unique as the hype would suggest. It's a solid four stars, but most of the menu items I've had there are not necessarily best in class. They're all good, though. The one exception may be the sweet potato souffle. Oh my goodness. That stuff is great.

The only reason I gave 3 stars here is for the people that work here. They are super friendly and the customer service is really great. Unfortunately, the food here is just OK, nothing spectacular. Also, it took us at least 20 minutes to find parking. They do offer a parking lot in the back for free, which is nice, but it fills up very quickly. We circled around the neighborhood at least 10 times. Be prepared to wait a while to park. To me, it wasn't worth the wait for mediocre food. I ordered fried chicken with the mac and cheese. Again, the people here are really sweet and I wish the food was better.

Fantastic southern cuisine! Nothing I ordered was bad. The portions are huge so I had to bring a good portion of it home. The atmosphere was "southern dining room". Clean. Wait staff was great, and very helpful when ordering. I went there for lunch, but would only go back for dinner (comfort food makes me sleepy).
