Very nice Mongolian food! Needed a pick me up nutritious soup due to pregnancy and hormones all over the place. Almost cried after eating not to be dramatic just pregnant. Lol thank you! They make it right there for you so it takes some time because Mongolian food is made out of scratch and they don't freeze things. And again thank you to all the staff!

Gave this place a try only because the moving company hasn’t gotten here yet and I don’t have any pots and pans to cook the food myself. Not Impressed At All with this place. Ordered a side potato salad and got half of a small container. Asked for packaged soy sause and chili sauce and she gave one container so I can the sauces myself from a table. The Buuz were all open, cracked, and dry, no broth. Tsuivan noodles were stuck together and the meat was hard and chewy. The two orders and a tiny side of potatoes salad were not worth $30. Sorry but not sorry because I know our people can do so much better than that.

I met who is now my wife in Mongolia, so she and I love Mongolian food and cook it together often. We both agree – this restaurant deliciously and authentically represents Mongolian cuisine! If you’re unfamiliar with the Mongolian diet, please know that it largely consists of hearty dishes designed to keep meat on the bones. Mongolian people are traditionally (and many still are) nomadic in a country featuring some of the coldest winters in the world, which vastly influences Mongolian food and culture. Expect dishes prepared with lots of meat, fat, and dairy with a small variety of vegetables and no sticky sweet sauces. In other words, if your only experience with Mongolian cuisine is with what’s often touted as “Mongolian beef” on Chinese takeout menus, please just don’t expect to find that here. With that said, this restaurant hosts all of the Mongolian mainstays, and all we tried were as delectable as any you could find in a restaurant in Ulaanbaatar. I especially recommend the khuushuur (chewy fried pockets of pastry filled with ground meat; served Naadam-style here if you’re familiar), buuz (steamed meat-filled dumplings), tsuivan (chewy noodles supplemented with fatty cuts of beef, garlic, onions, cabbage, and carrots), and suutei tsai (literally “milk tea”; think a rich, salty, milky broth). In addition to all the fantastic food, the owner was charming, hospitable, and rightfully proud to represent a culture not often experienced here in the States. If you’re already a fan of Mongolian food, you owe it to yourself to eat here. If you love experiencing new foods and cultures, I urge you to give this restaurant a try. We will certainly be back next time we find ourselves in the Chicago area.

Decided to check this place out because it was close by and we've had Mongolian BBQ before so we thought why not. This place is nothing like that, though. Very good and different food. Wasn't busy at all but that's probably because of the Sushi place by it. Only one person working there but she was nice. Give this place a shot if you want something different.

This is definitely one of the finest place to eat in the neighborhood. Every time I come to this place I am so happy. They manage their high standard service and the topmost level of food they offer. You can never go wrong with this place. Very recommended.

This place has the best Mongolian Cuisine I have ever had. It is difficult to find places for Mongolian Cuisine in Chicago, but this place is phenomenal. The food is made with simple yet delectable ingredients that are very healthy and delicious, not overloaded on salt or spicing, and freshly prepared in store (I was able to see into the kitchen a bit, they like to use fresh vegetables!). The food tasted delicious and fresh, and the dumplings did not taste overloaded with any kind of oils. As a person who tries to eat health consciously, I found it particularly great. The environment is very clean. The portioning was generous, and they seem to have a lot of great deals for Christmas! This is affordable quality food, and considering the climate of Mongolia, I can see why this cuisine is so cherished for cold climates. I highly recommend going here, especially since it's winter, as after some research I found that this food is literally designed culturally to make you strong and healthy to endure the cold climates! The atmosphere is beautiful and authentic. Everything from the Mongolian music on television, to the beautiful adornments of the restaurant with cultural artifacts and decorations gave the entire restaurant a homely atmosphere. The staff is courteous and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant if you wish to make your first incursion into Mongolian Cuisine.
