Our three red doors make the church easy to recognize and we take great pride in making sure those doors are open to our neighbors of all ages, races, and life situations.

My church is very important to the city and its citizens. This is a sheltering congregation for those who feel disenfranchised and those who want a place to feel as they are as individuals with much love. It is a diverse community for young and old, single and married and those from various gender identiities.

Open to all beliefs and lifestyles. Very friendly. Church fills up quickly and parking is not easy. Great Xmas service.

While the rest of the Methodist Church drags its feet getting its act together around same-sex marriage, St. Mark continues -- as it has for years -- being a trend-setting, warm, and welcoming church with a strong, unwavering dedication to social justice. The clergy here is as smart as the membership is friendly, so there's no need to do anything but be yourself, show up, and soak up the Gothic Revival ambiance of the sanctuary. A tip: the Sunday School classes -- smaller groups, packed with regulars -- are the way into this church's social circles. Find your place in these first, and you'll have an easier time integrating yourself into the larger congregation.
