Do not miss the opportunity to eat here. I am a born & raised North Carolinian and I can attest to the authenticity and amazing-ness of this food. It is clear that the head chef puts lots of care and pride into his dishes. Not one thing was bad and the atmosphere/decor was warm, spacious and inviting all at once. Highly recommend for anyone seeking to put some of the South in their mouth.

Good food. Been here twice. First time, service was impeccable. Second time, we were sat outside and our waiter was incredibly slow in serving us. We asked to move inside because it was getting chilly and were told that there was no room. Two other groups got moved inside about 20 minutes later. The food was also more bland the second time around

Great team as they regroup. Food and service were excellent compared to previous reviews. They can only keep improving from here.

One of my favorite places in Boston for fried chicken. Love the environment and ambiance, good place to go out with friends or for a family dinner. Definitely recommend the classic fried chicken, very flavorful and we'll executed. I found the spicy fried chicken to be a little one dimensional, but the barbecue pickles that come with it make it worth an optional addition. Mac and Cheese is quite basic but nice, highly recommend the fried okra.

Great staff! Went there on a Monday evening around 630pm and it was almost empty. Fried chicken sandwich was REALLY good. Got the hot version and wasn't that spicy. Was there for their happy hour so chicken sandwich was $5. Recommend getting it! Drinks were good. Had the tequila based drink and the rum drink (Run Forrest Run or something like that). Rum drink was good and not too sweet. Definitely try their drinks. On the other hand, Mac and Cheese was NOT good. Felt like some cheap noodle and cheese. Not worth even for $6. Skip it all together and order their other items.

I got the classic chicken half regular and half spicy and it was really good. The sweet sauce is delicious. It is a bit pricey for 4 pieces, maybe adding a one more piece will make up for the price. I would want to go again to try other dishes. Staff are amazing.
