Company Description

For St. Vincent de Paul (b. 1580), becoming a priest meant escaping his family's poverty into a life of clerical ease. His first 10 years as a priest (o. 1600) were spent basking in his new-found comfort and privilege.

Being a visitor to this church the way the church was built stunning and it really was bright and overall a very nice Sunday mass but I couldn't help but feel uncomfortable for me and family. Right when we entered I was taken off guard by a woman who just could not take her eyes off of me and not in a good way..naturally I waved and smiled but she continued to stare, my sister also waived and smiled but the woman gave us a blank stare and looked away...um okay?? Not to mention the couple of other people who shook their head in a non approval when we walked up to be blessed was off putting, and basically made me and family feel like we should've not come in for Sunday mass. It's not the church's fault of course they definetly provided a welcoming feel but the people who attended the mass seemed to not shy away from letting their Opinions be shown either with their eyes or other body gestures. You therefore have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else for at whatever point you judge another you are condemning yourself because you who pass judgments do the same things-ROMANS 2:1

A nice quiet place to pray. Someone is always there to talk to if you just need someone to talk to.🙏

Love this place. Tried many other Catholic churches before settling here. Great for families with kids as well as older people. Not sure about young singles. Pastor is very involved and caring.

Unfortunately, we no longer feel welcomed in this church. We arrived a few minutes before mass one Sunday just as the priest was preparing to enter the sanctuary and were met with closed doors with "ushers" acting as sentries at the doors. We were kept out of the sanctuary until just before the gospel. This is standard procedure at this church. Since then, I have noticed a large group of people now enter just before the gospel which is very distracting. My mother brought up the issue to the pastor and mentioned that we were considering switching churches. Father Ed told her that he did not care whether we stayed or went. This was very disheartening since we have been loyal parishioners for eight years and have put our kids through Catholic school from kindergarten through senior year (at Savio). I was surprised that we were so disposable. We will be looking for a new church home since every time I sit in church at St. Vincent's I know that I am considered unvalued.

We moved from the nearby subdivision when we downsized. The new church is beautiful and a far cry from the original facility. If you want to know what church Bishop Danny built, this is it. We still come once in a while to visit with friends, enjoy the different choirs, or feel the ambiance of a fast growing community. Great parish!
