Wong Java House is an authentic Indonesian restaurant located in Alhambra, California. Under new management since November 2016, we are proud to present you a HALAL restaurant. We use all natural ingredients and use no msg. We also provide alkaline drinking water for our customers.

Indonesian food and service here is above par. The staff was friendly and sociable. The place has a good feel to it. My apartment is far from here, so I can't visit often.

Indonesian food and the feeling here is better than most. I was so full. The staff was very helpful and observant. Prices are fair I would say. Food is similar to a cafe in Portland I liked.
The food wasn't bad but I've had better Indonesian food. The food mostly had a sweet taste to it which I guess is part of the cuisine of this part of Indonesia. The issue I have however is the price. The portions are not worth the prices and we had a party of 5 with 2 kids and 3 adults. We ordered one large bowl of rice and got charged $12. This is the most I've ever paid for a bowl of plain white rice at any Asian restaurant. A chicken entree was $17, it said whole chicken, so I assumed a large portion. What came out was Cornish hen, the size of 2 legs of regular chicken. $11 for 5 small skewers of chicken satay is pricey, and unfortunately the meat seemed weird. Sort of makes you stop and wonder if it's actually chicken. For 3 adults and 2 young kids we paid around $87, which is over $20/person. I'm not sure how that happened, but needless to say, that's the last time I go here.
One of my top places for delicious indonesian food. Everyone at our table was enjoying everything. I will probably become a regular. This place has a cool feel to it. I see why this place has a lot of good reviews.

Excellent spot for quality Indonesian food. Definitely one of the best places in the area. There was fast, efficient, and courteous service. It has a nice interior. This place has many reviews for a reason.
