Evelyn was the one to explain my child's learning issues to me and educate me on Dyslexia, recommend a neuropsychologist with expertise in Dyslexia, and tell me about a wonderful school to help support my daughter's learning issues. I became part of Evey’s patient family in March 2017. It is one of the the best decisions I ever made about my life resulting the best year I have had in years! I tried to connect with her and find out if it'd be a good fit but after two weeks of trying to communicate hapharzardly she stopped responding. She couldn't even spell my name right or answer all of my questions. The whole thing felt like an afterthought and was so unprofessional.
After meeting this therapist and briefly chatting about her practice, it was evident she knew her stuff. My intuition was right when she evaluated my daughter. Needing a second opinion along with interpretation of assessment data, comparing her results with the first evaluation, adjusting and making new recommendations were the expectations placed on her. It was worth every cent as she guided me through the process because of the advocate training she went through. Was the process easy as a parent? No. What district la willing to just provide services regardless of your child's needs? Trust and believe this therapist has compassion and truly loves what she does. Aside from the advocate component, there's also the ability to determine what language your child is dominante in which can pose an obstacle. This therapist is recommended without any reservations and highly regarded.
We met Evelyn in the spring of 2016 when J was about to start the school. I remember being very worried about her lack of language and her delayed social skills and meeting Ms. Eve was a gift from heaven. She is an excellent listener and a smart and well-educated speech-language pathologist. She understood immediately the quirks of my kid's personality and designed for her activities to address the speech but also social skills, game skills, emotional cognition...She understands the work in the communication skills with an holistic approach and designs the therapy thinking not only in the kid but also in the family and its needs. The speech sessions with her are always fun and engaging and they are also effective in pull out words from J. The assessment/progress reports were very clear and easy to follow and reflected with good accuracy my kid's performance at the moment they were done. Her commitment with my kid is heartwarming and she has been a great support for our family in hard and good days. Working with her was a delight from the very beginning and for that reason, I strongly recommend Ms. Eve speech sessions to any of our relatives and friends with speech pathologies.
