Me and my son were both students at Voices of the World for 5 months in 2016. First I signed up my son, who was 6, then I also decided to take lessons from Jane so that I can help my son practicing his sounds. In 5 months, our American English pronunciation has improved immensely. My son's speech has cleared up almost entirely, and mine is up to the level that I can clearly express myself. Jane is a highly qualified accent reduction therapist and a perfectly organized teacher. She can engage kids and adults alike in the learning process. I really liked her book that she wrote and gives to her students free of charge. It is a very-well written book and comes with audio files. Thank you Jane so much for everything! It is not easy to find a speech therapist in Austin, who is actually qualified in accent reduction. And Jane is one of them. I highly recommend Jane.

Had the opportunity to work with Jane at Voices of the World Speech Therapy for a couple of months and was able to spot and finally correct some pronunciation mistakes I was unconsciously having. Jane is extremely professional and clearly passionated. I highly recommend working with her. I had a lot of fun too !

I worked with Jane on accent neutralization. Jane was very encouraging throughout the sessions and had a laser focus to catch the pronunciations. She was always willing to schedule sessions around my busy travel schedule and many a thanks for doing that Jane. I definitely see an improvement from these sessions. I strongly recommend Jane for your training needs.

I've just completed my last session with Jane and I can't even describe how helpful her lessons were. Jane really cares about my progress and tailored the sessions to my needs. She is also very patient and manages to explain the pronunciation pattern in a way that I could easily understand. In a little more than a year, I've made a lot of progress in pronunciation, intonation and rhythm, and I feel much more comfortable with public speaking and small talks. Thanks, Jane!

I spent one year with them, it was a great experience! the teacher is nice and professional, she helps me to get into American English world, and helps me to correct each single sound, also class time is very flexible, they do it as your schedule. Overall I love this class and learn a lot from this class.

Are you tired of being greeted with "where are you from"? Sticking out like a sore thumb in a dive bar? Have you contemplated in your darkest hour taking on a vow of silence or joining a choir? Have you been looking for a glimmer of hope that you can change the way you sound? You just caught a lucky break, because Jane is a bright, shining star of speech correction. If you have thought that changing your accent is impossible, you'll be happy to be proven wrong. Make no mistake, you'll still have to do a lot of work, but Jane will tell you exactly what to do. She will hear it when your tongue touches your teeth in a wrong place, and she will be relentless in pointing it out. She will teach you sounds you didn't think existed. Do your homework till your mouth goes numb and soon you will free yourself from your foreign past.

I'm extremely happy that I could have attended a 2-month accent course. At first, I tried the free group class and I immediately understood that working with Jane and Dominique will help me quickly with my mixed accent (Slovak, German, British English). They would listen to the way you pronounce words, they would look at your lips and tongue position (which might be funny in the beginning) and they would correct the sounds you make. So I eventually took the full course and I can't be happier. I could hear improvements every day after the class and I gained more confidence when speaking. Thank you!!
