Had the worst experience at Brookhaven Christian Church CDC. The facilities are very untidy. The director Della is very loud and disrespectful. Each encounter I had with her if there was an issue, she initiated the conversation with an insult. The infant room is great and has wonderful care givers. The transitional process from infant to toddler room is horrible. My son was 11 months when they decide to transition him from the infant room to toddler room. They expect an 11 month old to do the same things as a 2 year old. My son was not being properly fed. The main reason was that they were too lazy to give him a warm bottle and they were too cheap to provide a small fridge and microwave in the toddle room. My son was not taking well to cold bottles, Della and staff felt it was only right to keep him on cold bottles after they observe that he isn't drinking the cold milk that they were providing. My son typically drinks 8oz every 3 hours. On his daily activity sheet, he would only have 2oz per feeding. They observed this and blamed my wife and I for not giving him cold bottles as they do at the daycare. If an eleven month old baby that isn't drinking cold milk how can you force him to???He has to be fed one way or the other which they refused to do. Everyday I picked him up from daycare he would cry the whole care ride home, when I got him in the house he would suck down up to 160z in one settings which isn't typical. we were excuse of having my son attend the daycare on the morning of a meeting my wife and I were to have with the Daycare. No forewarning or lead time to find another facilities. I previously discussed giving us 30 days to move on which they agreed to. This is something they will ask for from the parent as well if you decide to leave. Their reason for excusing us was because they can not provide 8oz of warm milk per feeding. By law you can request your child to be on a certain eating regiment. Della, Mary and Velina does not care about the well being of your child. Also they allow anyone to walk to into the rooms where the kids are kept. There are children crawling around dirty floors which everyone walk on. My child was constantly sick which I get but to come home with HAND FOOT MOUTH Disease. Read up on what that is, it comes from uncleanliness. They also do not care to change your kids clothes if they are dirty. They bring your kids to their play ground and do not take the time to take the wood chips and sand out of their shoes. Asking for my child to have warm bottles and to keep him as clean as possible was too much to ask for. I know finding a Daycare is hard and sadly you have to take what you can get. But if you do choose this Daycare please Voice your opinion on the care of your child. I've spoke to other parents who had similar the experience and they weren't as vocal about the care of their child. This facility can not continue with sub par care of kids. They do not deserve it!!!!!! I hope management is changed!!!
