Callanwolde, the magnificent Tudor Revival style home of the Charles Howard Candler family, was completed in 1920. Howard Candler, the oldest son of Asa Griggs Candler (founder of The Coca-Cola Company), was the President of The Coca-Cola Company from 1916 to 1923.

Gardens are nice, jazz concerts in summer, art classes. Limited free parking is an issue for any event

It was so big and great I had the best time I learned alot of things about that that place

Fantastic place to visit. Still owned by Candler family but now leased to Dekalb County as an art center. We'll be there this weekend as part of an art show.

Callanwolde is not just any historical location, it is a journey to new adventures. Any time of the year, you will find something new to discover. The staff is diverse, friendly and knowledgeable. Go for a walk, pottery or music you will leave amazed.

I am from British Columbia Canada and was warmly greeted by my own Santa Chip when my sister and I entered. A lovely home full of history Bobbie in the lunch was able to tell us about as we ate a sandwich and coffee she served us. We were a captive audience and bought some aprons there. The Callanwolde Fine Arts Center is a beautiful venue for weddings and events, it practically sells itself. Grounds and mansion were amazing. Wedding moved from outside to inside the mansion with little notice due to sweltering heat. If you are in the area it is a must see!

This is a wonderful fine arts center. Its building is beautiful and historic, and the many classes that it offers are wonderful. My children have been taking classes here, especially dance, for a decade.
