I came in with very bad pain in my pelvic area that had been mis-diagnosed by a urologist. Sara was very knowledgeable and professionally concerned. She had me doing stretches and i was wondering,'How is this going to help?' Well as the pain got less and less, i understood she knows what she's doing. By following her instructions, I'm at 99% pain free - what a relief! I highly recommend Carolina Pelvic Health Center.

They are winners! I've used Sarah and Emily for years to treat many of my patients with painful intercourse problems. While it may sound like a difficult exam, the way they partner with the woman and her body makes it an incredible learning and healing experience. Many women suffer for YEARS having painful sex when good PT could have resolved their issues in short order. One patient of mine felt her pain was on a level of 10 everywhere (high.) Within 2 months of treatment her pain was reduced to a 2 only at certain points. As sex therapists, my center sees many, many patients with pain problems and we refer gladly and gratefully to this resource and have found them ethical, kind, super knowledgeable and successful. I've been to many therapist over the years and never have I found one as knowledgeable and helpful as the therapist I see at Carolina Pelvic Health. I sometimes think she's a magician, for she always seems to know just the right thing to do to help me. She's amazing.

When I started at Carolina Pelvic Health, I had been to so many doctors, and even had surgery, with no improvement. My severe pelvic pain was affecting the quality of my life- I was hopeless and suffering. After working with Lori, I now feel like I can understand and manage my pain. Having hope, clarity and above all, ways to work with my pain that do not involve medication or further surgeries has been a huge relief. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who suffers from pelvic pain of any sort, male or female. They are kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and my favorite is that they want to teach you to understand and listen to your body! Thanks Lori.

My local PT recommended that I go here for my chronic pain. Everything I had read said that if I had the pain from my condition for 6 months (tailbone pain), it was likely permanent, and I had had it for over a year when I started seeing Emily. Emily assured me they could get me better, and indeed she did. It was slow going at first, and I was a bit skeptical. I almost gave up and resigned myself to accepting the pain, but then after about 4 sessions, I was noticing improvement, so I continued on. Glad I did! I'm about 90% better. I'm still improving, so I know I will be 100% at some point soon. There are not many therapists who do what they do at this center, so we are fortunate to have them in the state. I would still be dreading the pain from sitting and standing up from sitting if not for going to the CPHC. Totally worth the hour and a half drive! And I love being able to hop out of my car or stand up from a chair, and then realizing I did it without pain!
