Only worked for the company once. Had no issues with them. Pretty straight forward with their contracts. Was told I would be paid 2-3 weeks after the event and received an echeck as promised. Deposited it today. Unless the check bounces, everything went smoothly. The event was for corporate training. It was professionally organized and I had fun.
Nick and his team created an amazing corporate entertainment for my sons' b'nai mitzvah. He is creative and incredibly diligent and responsive. He will work closely with you to get everything right. He worked very smoothly with our party planners and our DJ and the kids (and adults!) loved him. Thanks, Nick!
My husband and I for married on St. Patrick’s day. I was able to not only surprise my husband but all of my guest with the best leprechaun even. Thank you Character’s for Hire. We had the best time and loved our guy. Everyone is still talking about it.
What a PHENOMENAL experience! I learned about Characters for Hire from a business associate who had used them for their Halloween event and I must say, I was so pleasantly surprised by the professionalism I experienced. I was hesitant to hire characters for my masquerade ball because when I think 'costumed character', I instantly think of a cheesy, for-looks-only type of deal but what I got was cast of actors who never broke character! These people engaged with my guests, were available for photo opportunities and just added so much value to the event. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Characters for Hire for my next event and would certainly refer a friend!
I had the great privilege to work for Characters For Hire, LLC this past weekend for The Palm Beach Cowboy Ball and Auction. The event was outstanding and the Characters For Hire ran the event with it's actors in the most efficient and professional manner. Working for and with this company was such a positive and professional experience. The characters made this huge iconic event life-changing for me and also for everyone there. I am so excited to see what is next. In my industry I work for many different companies but there really is none better with clear cut guidelines and talent that is 150% there to please the client. Was an amazing experience working with Nick at Characters for Hire. I came to him 2 weeks before proposing to my girlfriend asking for him to arrange a special performance for her and he was able to do so seamlessly, accommodating every request. The performers he brought were amazing and were better than I could've hoped for. He was very responsive and personally showed up to the event to make sure everything went off as planned. If you are looking to work for this company, be prepared to go through a rigorous screening with multiple interviews. They mean business and will do whatever it takes to make sure their customers are happy. They can be a little harsh with some of their performers. But as long as you do what you were hired to do, you should have no problem. They do take care of all of their performers. Like providing transportation to and from the event, Same day payments which were 1st initiated this past January. They also pay for all expenses. From time to time you do get to travel to certain destinations which is always a lot of fun. I highly recommend working for Characters for Hire.
I worked for them and did some great events and characters. Then one day I asked for 2 checks I was owed before I would work again. Nothing. Then 6 months later I wrote for my payment and one was sent on a bank that it bounced on ($160) and $16 for the bounce. The guy promised me to pay for it and the bounce. Nothing. Got an email for another character, also sent in a request 2 months later. Woman wrote "well if you called and asked we would have taken care of it". Both times, nothing after. Nothing. So. Be wary, get paid for your work one check at a time. Enjoy the performance and spots, they're fun, and the energy is great. It is the true all across the usa live performance go-to company.
