Company Description

Greetings Cookie Lovers! My name is Barbara Weniger and I am the owner of the Cookie Time Bakery. When I was growing up in South Dakota my mother always baked cookies and I was eager to learn how to make them myself because I wanted to eat them, of course! It’s true that I never planned on owning and operating a bakery and have no formal training, but I know what makes a cookie taste great. In 1991 I bought a small wholesale bakery and I started with just a few recipes and a few wholesale accounts.

This is a really great place for cookies. I reccomend the florentine or the macaroons. They also have a map where you can plot the unusual places you've been.

Very crowded today. I bought dozen and half cookies for my son and his fiance. When I got home I managed myself locked out of house. So I spent next an hour at my friendly neighbor's house. There my cookies joined their family reunion & made extra special.

Our favorite place to stop for a treat! The seasonal decorated cookies are my kids' favorite, and our adults love their almond joys, coconut macaroons, and chocolate ginger. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their items, which is always helpful when you're got a nut allergy in the family like we do. Highly recommend!

Back in HS when this was The Chocolate Box, I would come in and smell the cookies baking in the adjoining shop and ask for some. After that I would knock the door as they were only a caterer and ask to buy a dozen chocolate chip cookie for $6. When The Chocolate Box closed and the Cookie store opened in its place, I purchased a dozen cookies a week at $6 for years. Now that same dozen cost $22 so to expensive for my family. We get larger cookies baked fresh daily at Whole Food for $1 each. Honest they are just as good just not the variety as CT. At $22 a dozen this place has turned into a yuppie expensive shop. I have great memory form HS and the past but can no longer afford almost $2 fora small cookie.

Hands down the best cookies in the Boston area! You'll certainly find a favorite or even a list of favorites at cookie time! The mocha sandwich cookies are out of this world, and the lemon macaroon is superb, but the Florentine is the cookie that makes me sing! Stop by and find the cookie that will make you sing! I guarantee it's there waiting for you...
