He graduated from The New England College of Optometry in Boston, as a member of Beta Sigma Kappa the International Optometric Honor Society. Dr. Shomali specializes in primary eye care for families, including contact lenses, pre & post operative surgical co-management care of Cataracts and Refractive Surgery including LASIK.

I always appreciate the ease and flexibility that I have in scheduling an appointment. Dr. Shomali is friendly and professional. I am currently living out of the country, but when I return each year, I go to him for my eye exam and contacts. His office is conveniently located within a short walk from Park St. or Gov't Ctr. I highly recommend him.
Dr. Shomali is very knowledgeable in optometry and eye care. He immediately makes you feel comfortable and ensures that you understand the process he is going through to check your eyes, and suggestions for better care. I will definitely be going back to him on the regular. Check him out!
The best doctor in Boston! He is a hidden jem! He was patient, knowledgeable, flexible, affordable, considerate, funny, and just overall great! I'm extremely nearsighted and have a great astigmatism in my left eye, but I can see clearly now.....the rain Is gone! ( I had to)
Absolutely fantastic! I have been wearing corrective lens' for several years now, requiring me to have an exam annually. I am writing this review as I can say with certainty that this is the first time that I have left with a sense of accomplishment beyond just having my prescription renewed. If you are looking for credentials, experience, and all around satisfaction, look no further. Dr. Shomali is an exceptional physician who exceeds all expectations, and for me, as well as my girlfriend, has certainly set the bar. It should also be noted that Dr. Shomali's entire staff compliments his level of service, being extremely accommodating, friendly and knowledgable.
I have been going to Dr Shomali for almost 15 years now. The the level of care and interest Dr Shomali provides is so individual it makes me feel very well cared for. When I'm in his office I feel more like I'm visiting family than going to see the doctor. For anyone looking for that personal touch, you couldn't do better than coming here.
Dr. Shomali is such a caring man. He and his team make you feel like one of the family, while delivering outstanding medical services. I have been seeing him for almost 20 years and I would not trust my vision to anyone else!!!!!! You will receive excellent service from the best Doctor and the best team in Boston.
I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Dr. Shomali. The office is very clean and accommodating, the staff is friendly, and Dr. Shomali really knows his stuff. It was very easy for me to make an appointment and on relatively short notice. Dr. Shomali was very nice, he was able to answer questions I had that no optometrist had been able to previously, and he had my glasses made and ready within a day. If I could give him and him and his office 10 stars I would!
Dr Shomali is very personable, provides excellent service and has reasonable fees. Will certainly revisit!
I recently moved to Boston from a small town and was in desperate need for an eye exam to get a new prescription for contacts. I searched the internet and Dr. Shomali's office happened to be on the same route that I walk every day to and from work so I chose his. I am SO happy that I made that decision. He made me feel like I was in my small town eye doctors office again, rather than a big city. He was very welcoming and had an excellent staff. I would recommend him to anyone!!!

I have been here twice, to see Doctor Shomali. First time, I went in for glasses. He was quick and efficient. The second time was for contacts and again same great service. Beside the eye service, he has a sense humor. He may look very serious but he is funny guy. It makes going to the eye doctor a little easier. Overall he is a phenomenal optometrist and I will continue to go here!! : I recommend him to all my coworkers and friends.
