Dr. Paul Lovero was born and raised in Sugar Land, Texas, and studied at the University of Houston, where he was inducted into Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society and received numerous clinical letters of excellence in the category of contact lenses and family practice. He earned both his undergraduate and doctorate of optometry degrees and graduated magna cum laude.

Coming here for my eye exam as well as my contact supplies have been so pleasant. Dr. Paul patiently explains everything and addresses all my inquiries. Pricing is transparent and the assistants are super helpful in outlining how insurance could be best applied.
5 stars! Amazing! Front desk was friendly and efficient. The whole visit was quick and easy. There was plenty of time to talk to Dr. Lovero and ask questions. Dr. Lovero is very friendly and intelligent. The office is very clean and bright. They have all the latest technology so you don’t have to get your eyes dilated which is the best!
Dr. Lovero and his staff are amazing! The office is so cute and super clean. I loved that it didn’t have a sterile feel and the design was lovely. It’s also a super inspirational environment. I saw one of my favorite books, What I Know For Sure, by Oprah on one of the shelves. I knew I was in the right place for my eyecare. :) I wish I could go there for more services based on the atmosphere and attention. My entire appointment was less than 45mins. Also a plus! I appreciated that my time was important to them. I booked my appointment, conveniently, on a Friday and was in the office on Monday. I can go on and on. Obviously, I 100% recommendation Dr. Lovero and his wonderful staff!
Dr. Lovero and his staff were very nice and friendly from the moment I arrived. They took great care of me while there, explained every procedure and assisted me with picking out frames and lenses for my new glasses. It was a great first experience with a new doctor and I look forward to being a patient there again.
I moved to the montrose area about 5 months ago and knew I would need to find a new eye doctor. I came to Montrose Eye Care because it’s super close to my apartment. I loved this place. Everyone made me feel so welcome. Dr. Lovero is one of the best eye doctors I have ever been too. Morgan helped me pick out my glasses and she is very knowledgeable about insurance. Overall, I can’t wait for my next eye appointment.
I typically don’t go to the same eye doctor every year but Dr. Lovero has changed that! The office is nice, modern, and the decor is awesome. The staff is friendly and very helpful when explaining everything regarding my insurance. And Dr. Lovero knows what he’s talking about! He’s kind and friendly. He took the time to answer my random questions, listened when I told him about my eye history, and explained everything with tons of knowledge and compassion making sure I understood everything. I will for sure be coming back for years to come!
I just had the perfect annual eye exam with Dr. Lovero and his gorgeous team. From the minute I walked through the door, I felt welcomed and fully cared for. Dr. Lovero's clinic is equipped with exceptional, state of the art technology. His exam was extremely thorough and he took his time explaining all procedures. He looked at my eyes, literally, from every angle and layer - really gave me peace of mind about my ocular health. I also appreciate how he pushes you during the reading exam so you can see at your fullest potential. Afterwards, I had the best time trying on frames and picking out lenses. There were numerous (and fashionable) options available, and the technician really helped narrow down my choices based on my personal style and taste. Everyone was so kind and helpful, I will definitely be back again for all my annual exams!
Super friendly and helpful staff! Great glasses options and up to date technology. I was a Berkeley patient for years, but never really cared for the staff/vibe. Very stuffy/old and they gave me the wrong prescription a couple times. I didn’t realize how pleasant of an experience going to the eye doctor could be! I will never go anywhere else!
My visit to Montrose Eye Care was awesome. The office staff greeted you right away. They were friendly, professional, and courteous. The Optometrist, Dr. Paul, answered all of my questions thoroughly. His professional yet friendly demeanor was amazing. After the eye exam, he took the time to help me select frames! What doctor does that? I have worn glasses all of my life and I have never had one doctor go through the tedious process of helping me select a frame. If you are looking for a great Eye Care Center, then this is the place you should go!!!
