There is something that I think about often, there are many Chiropractors out there. Why come to me? There may be someone else closer to where you live. I have patients who move to the suburbs and still drive into the city to see me. How lucky am I? Part of that is a skill set. Hopefully, once you have done something for 37 years you get good at it. I have a technique that is a little less forceful than some others so people prefer that type of touch. But that isn’t the whole of it.

Friendliest staff and Dr. Lori is really invested in making you better for the long run
I have been going to Dr. Lori for many years, and I think it's safe to say, I wouldn't have even gone back a second time, if this wasn't a first class place. The staff is AMAZING as is Dr. Lori. She chats with you and actual cares and will ask about things going on in your life and, as quick as some visits have to be due to a packed waiting room (another testament of an excellent practice!), she never runs you out the door and takes the necessary time with each patient. She, and the staff, genuinely care. Also, they helped work out a payment plan for me since I have no health insurance when most places won't. It's the one doctor I've been able to visit and not go completely broke after one visit due to lack of insurance. As long as she'll keep seeing me, I will keep going!
Dr. Lori is one of the best chiropractors I've ever been to! She is so sweet and friendly. She knows how to take care of you, and I always leave an appointment feeling much better than before. I've been going to her for over 6 months and I've had much less back and neck pain. I love the friendly atmosphere and always feel welcomed. The staff is very helpful, understanding, and fun. I look forward to coming every week!
If it weren't for Lori and her great staff, I would have had to stop working years ago. They keep me moving!
Just moved back to Chicago and needed to get to a chiropractor because of a pinched nerve in my back. Very welcoming to a new client, very understanding of the discomfort and explains everything that looks out of place to you! Have already recommended her to a few friends and have only had a couple of appointments
I can't say enough good about Dr. Portnoy. She's enthusiastic, patient and thorough. Regular visits have increased my flexibility and increased my general wellness in more ways than one. I would and do recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Lori is kind, gentle, personable, and understanding. She takes a definite interest in getting to know her patients and their lives so that she can give the best and most appropriate answers and treatments for each individual. There are 3 of us in our family and she sees and all of us. We each have different plans based on who we are and what we do. On the rare occasions when we have needed to do so our dog is very welcome to accompany us. Her staff emulates her completely and they are as wonderful as she is.
I have been seeing Dr Portnoy for 10 years. I use to have chronic back pain and now it’s rare if I do. I couldn’t believe how much seeing a chiropractor helped my sleep, stress, and overall well being. She’s super gentle with her adjustments and is honest about what’s necessary and what isn’t. She even talked me out of buying $400 shoe inserts that she could have made a commission on, because she knew I didn’t need them. I’m so grateful I found an honest, smart, and supportive doctor.
Was referred to Dr. Lori from my chiropractor in Australia. Being a professional athlete I was nervous trying someone new before a contest. But was so happy with not only the results but the feel of Dr Lori, and the team.
