I'd been warned by another doctor's office in San Antonio how incompetent Zajac's office was, and that warning proved to be one I should have heeded. First of all, my surgeon's office consulted with Zajac and his office the weekend of my son's I&D surgery. That surgery was June 29. I was told Zajac's office would be contacting me within the next week for a followup. I didn't hear from them, and when I called them, they knew nothing about my son's case. Finally, my son's surgeon's office said they would contact them. After MANY attempts to communicate effectively with Zajac's office, his office finally contacted me with an August 9 appointment. That was SIX weeks after the surgery. I kept the appointment just to be on the safe side even though my son's labs were great and all of his cultures came back negative during the first week of July. So, today, August 9, our appointment was at 1:45. We got there at 1:35. Zajac didn't see my son until after 3:30. When I asked him if this was the normal wait time and told him when our appointment was scheduled, he said, "You could look elsewhere if you like." I replied, "We will." We continued with the appointment because I wasn't going to let my son wait for two hours without being seen. I've waited longer for doctors in the past, and I've kept my frustrations to myself; however, when it's obvious that a doctor's office with only one doctor seeing patients is booking five-to-six patients at a time, that's ridiculous. It's also ridiculous that when I - as a paying customer - express my frustration to the doctor, he has an arrogant, rude response. A friend of mine, who is a nurse, said that he sounds like the typical "BLEEP with too many patients!" Limited space prevents me to go into how he was extremely set on one treatment until my 18-year-old questioned him on it, and then he suddenly changed his mind. Really? An 18-year-old can change his mind that easily? Sounds like he's incompetent to me. He also doesn't respect his patients' time because he knows that he's way overbooking. He has no respect for people, is rude, and I'm pretty sure the "five-star" ratings on here must be from his office staff. Check out his reviews on other sites.
