On the first Sunday in August, 1945, a group of neighbors gathered at Fred Olds Elementary School and formed Forest Hills. This was a moment that had been prayed about for many months in advance, as people in this growing section of Raleigh had been feeling God calling them to begin a church that would minister to the needs of a growing city and region.

So blessed to have found this community of faith in Raleigh. I'm glad to be in the "big city" but still have a close-knit church where I can get to know and grow alongside people of all ages and backgrounds.
I love this church...they are a mission minded group who want to serve together. They love the Lord and those who come to worship!
My family and I feel at home at Forest Hills. My husband is not a Christian, but he wants to come and hang out with friends he has made at this church. That says a lot about the church's focus on loving all people. The members are warm and inviting. The ministerial staff is there to listen to your needs and help you grow spiritually. I couldn't ask for a better place to serve God and his people.
