The Jean Henry School of Art is a small, private fine art school for adults in San Francisco. Ongoing Oil Painting Classes are offered year round for students of all levels. In addition, we offer courses and visiting artist’s Workshops throughout the year in other media. Founded in 1962, our mission is to nurture creativity and develop technical skill in a supportive environment.
Review & Rating
I had never tried oil painting before embarking on classes here, although I had worked with acrylics and charcoal. It's been a great experience, and I've learned so much. The format of classes is very collaborative and supportive, with more-experienced students also willing to offer their advice for improving my technique. It's a great community and I look forward to showing my work in one of the annual art shows soon!
