Company Description

"Examining our surroundings in detail, seeing beauty not only in the spectacular but also in the smallest growing things" (Lowenfeld) – this is the main idea behind Boston Art classes developed by Diana Stelin. In addition to work in our cozy Brighton studio, small plein-air outings are held at every opportunity in our varied New England climate.

Our daughter has been attending the Plein-Air Art Academy for two years, and enjoys it immensely. She is a very artistic individual, and classes at Plein-Air help her advance and develop her skills and imagination. She receives many compliments on her drawings. Highly recommended!

My son really enjoys the classes, and I love that he is exposed to different media, techniques and locales. The teacher is very engaging, and gives the kids a good primer on art history.

Dear Dianochka, thank you for opening world of art for our kids, for your excellent teaching skills . You can encourage every of them by being so patient and kind, by inspiring them with your own incredible works of art.

The Plein-Air Art Academy is an AMAZING place for kids (and adults) to explore, study, develop their imagination/creativity/art skills/self confidence and just have lots of fun! My 3.5 daughter has been taking classes there since spring and we LOVE it a lot. Classes are very creative, the teacher is amazing and we are always excited about each single class! I highly recommend this school to explore and sign up for its classes.

Wonderful studio with a lot of personal attention from a great instructor. Besides teaching different art styles through variety of projects, Diana conveys knowledge about art history in an interesting and not overwhelming form. There are classes outside (weather permitting), at MFA and at the Zoo. My 12 yr old daughter loves the studio and looks forward to the next class every week. Great place for kids and adults!

Our son has attended Diana'a classed from the age of 4.5 in both Russian and English-speaking groups. Daniel is creative and Diana's approach was a perfect fit where he didn't have to fit into a mold and could explore and experiment with his creativity. An added bonus to the already history-rich classes were the field trips to the MFA, parks and playgrounds to experience the surroundings first hand, to feel and breath the fresh air! Kids get to experiment with different media, which makes the classes that much more engaging and stimulating! Love the experience all around!
