Very nice, kind person and absolutely fantastic doctor and surgeon. Very popular, so waiting room can get pretty full, but he takes the time to really talk and explain everything.

Dr. Hedley replaced my knee in 2009. All seemed to go well (other than my knee cap never stayed in place which I attributed to a genetic issue because Dr. Hedley could not figure out the problem). Two years later I was back because my leg was now 3/4 inch shorter than the "good" leg. He x-rayed the knee he operated on and pronounced that it looked great. He sent me on my way with no explanation why the leg was getting shorter. 2013 leg is 1 1/4 inch short so I go to Dr. Jimmy Chow (turns out he works with Dr. Hedley). He listens to my concerns, x-rays the knee and pronounced "all is good". Again no explanation why leg is now more than an inch shorter. Finally in mid-2017 a young general practitioner wants an x-ray of my hip on the "bad" leg side (first time anyone suggested this). Turns out this entire time my hip was slowly moving back and into the pelvis and was now two inches out of place. I am told that this has been going on for so long that it will be very difficult to ever put back there it belongs. I am going to Dr. Gregory Grant to operate on the hip and hope that something can be done, but only time will tell. Despite questions about the length of the "bad" leg Dr. Chow never suggested x-raying the hip, nor did his partner Dr. Hedley. Given their expertise I am disappointed that they did not take time to diagnose what a young GP did.

Very knowledgeable, skilled and personable. I severly fractured my hip/pelvis in 2009 and required major reconstruction with alot of hardware to repair. Dr Chow reviewed my case early this year and provided a very comprehensive analysis of my options to repair my now completely deteriorated hip joint. It's now been 7 days since my total hip replacement where he preformed the Micro Total Hip Replacement Procedure "SuperPATH ". Given my procedure wasn't the norm, he was prepared and adjusted as required real time to successfully complete the hip replacement in only 15 more mins than his normal time. I have a new lease on life thanks to Dr Chow. I'm walking without any need for assistance now (use a Caine for stability insurance) , off all pain medications and ready to start my PT. My wife and I are very, very, very happy and thankful with Dr Cow and St Luke's Medical Center.

Be advised when calling his office. They told me he was booked out for a year but another doctor could see me. I have hip trauma so I am unable to wait a year. They suggested that I see another doctor in their office. I saw that doctor. When I saw this doctor, (Dr Bert) he told me that he doesn't do trauma but he can refer me to another doctor that can. They charged for the appointment and I am still broken. Stay away from this medical group and Dr Chow.

Fantastic Doctor, Fantastic Staff!! We were referred to him by several different coworkers who had to have different types of surgeries. So he came highly recommended. One of the co-workers laughed, and said he reminds her of "Doogie Howser" (LOL)! I'm still so utterly amazed at how wonderful this team is. Dr. Chow is VERY skilled in his profession. It takes a lot to impress me where Doctors are concerned. He knew what was going on just by the way my husband walked. He asked a few questions, requested MRI/X-Ray's, just to be certain, and my husband went right into surgery the very next appointment. He was up and walking within an hour, and has had no problems whatsoever!! My husband thought he could slack off for a bit on his physical therapy, but quickly figured out it goes hand in hand. I had problems with our additional insurance company's requests (Aflac), and "the girls" (his staff) took care of it! BAM! Just like that! They are always so professional, but very sweet and kind as well. And don't let the adorable Doogie Howser look fool you, he really is just "that blessed".

I want to personally thank Dr. Chow for his innovative, accurate, and minimally invasive procedure. After studying all the different procedures I could find, I decided on Dr. Chow, and waited about 6 mos. to see him and another 4 to have the surgery . I was barely walking with a cane at the time. I had the surgery about 2 years ago. I just finished a back packing trip to Italy, and was able to climb the stairs up to the top of the dome of St. Peters. Without this procedure, I could not have made this trip with my family. I can't thank Dr. Chow enough for giving me my life back.

I waited 7 years to get my knee replaced! I was bone on bone with both knees. All the other orthopaedic surgeons I saw said two things: I am too young and too heavy (6'5" - 290). Dr Chow said no problem to either! It's been almost two months since the left knee was done, and have no issues what so ever! I can't wait to get the other one done real soon! I tell all my friends about Dr Chow and the South & Nephew knee replacement products.

I had reviewed different type of approaches for hip replacement, when I found out about SuperPATH total hip replacement. This is a minimally invasive procedure that doesn't cut tendons. For this procedure I chose Dr. James Chow. He took the time to answer my questions showing me samples of the parts that would be used and their composition. He is very personable and easy to talk with. In the hours and days after the surgery, my pain was gone and was back to walking again without my cane. I highly recommend Dr. Chow for hip replacement. I also have high regards for his surgical staff that assisted him at St. Luke's Medical Center in Phoenix. The preoperative procedures were very professional and after the surgery there was never any issues of infection. You could hardly see the 3 inch incision. All in all, I was extremely pleased with my new hip and the expertise of Dr. Jimmy Chow.
