Company Description

Drenched in history, the Kerryman’s location was once a notorious gangster hangout known as the McGovern Saloon, where the young Dion O’Banion got his start as a singing waiter.  In 1978 the location became home to one of the “original” punk clubs and was considered to be the zenith of the original Chicago punk movement.

Had a great experience at trivia here! Good food, drinks, and a great classy irish pub environment. We'd certainly come back.

Awesome food. I had a salad, the cheddar burger, and we had wings for an appetizer. Amazing. We will go back.

The bartender and staff are amazing. True Irish locals and Irish immigrants who have done an incredible job. This establishment is a point of pride for our city. Their variety of drinks and whiskey are exceptional. If you haven't been here yet and are reading this: you are missing out.

Stopped by for a beer and made reservations to return later in the evening to watch the Notre Dame game. They couldn't have been more accommodating! The hostess was wonderful at trying to make our reservations work for us even though it was a Saturday night and busy. The food was good, the atmosphere was nice but more important was how wonderful ALL the staff was. Thank you for the nice evening at Kerryman Irish Bar.

I eat here a lot since I work nearby. I got to say their customer service is always fantastic and they keep the place clean all the time. Prices are reasonable and they serve sizeable portions.

Kerryman Irish Bar was excellent. I ordered the Bison burger and it was amazing! I would highly recommend giving it a try. We ate outside which was a little bit crowded, tables are close to other tables but overall wasn't too big of a deal... Except for the "lady" that sipped a bit too much wine and gave us her thoughts on our tables conversation. PS - her thought didn't make much sense. Anyway overall a wonderful experience... I highly recommend the Bison burger.

Meh. Their Shepherd's Pie is okay, but RENAME IT. You don't use a shepherd to heard your lock of cattle, shepherds work with sheep, and lamb or mutton is what meat you should eat with a shepherd's pie - NOT HAMBURGER. It is a cottage pie. Diners should hold restaurateurs to account for calling dishes anything that they AREN'T. it has become accepted to use this name as though it doesn't matter, but like I say, you don't use a shepherd to shepherd your flock of cattle, and lamb isn't beef. NICE beer selection, though.

We had a group of about 15 and were seated immediately. Our server was friendly and attentive. They were missing an ingredient for my drink and offered to either substitute the ingredient or make me a different drink. I chose the substitution. The waitress made sire that I enjoyed my drink before checking in with the rest if my group. A+ service. Would recommend.
