Company Description

Named after one of the greatest poets in China’s Tang Dynasty. The Li Po Cocktail Lounge is a small and unpretentious Chinatown dive that lies behind a set of double doors cut out of a faux rocks with large red lacquered doors.  Li Po Cocktail Lounge has changed little since 30’s. It is complete with a  wraparound bar, and with dingy red leather booths and ubiquitous, traditional Chinese lantems for lighting and decoration.  Situated behind the bar, is a golden Buddha statue which you will not find this in any other cocktail bar.

Dive bar with strong cocktails. Fun place if you come with friends! There’s always some great people watching to be had.

I love this place. So much sass. There is a glorious older female bartender with such style— it’s awesome. The drinks are total roulette, the mai tai and Blue Hawaii are a safe bet but DON’T get the Electric Lemonade or the Presbyterian— they taste like yikes 😝 stick to the regular menu and you’ll be fine!

Rude, obnoxious staff. Tried multiple times to overcharge me, and verbally abused me and my wife when we tried to explain their mistake. They also confiscate IDs when you open a tab. You couldn't pay me to go back to this place. There's plenty of SF bars where they dont treat you like this

The specialty mai tai is 3 variations of rum, a "chinese liquor" and some pineapple half heartedly blended. But their prices are really solid.

I'm not sure what the hype is about. We had Mai Tai's. The liquor had an expired taste, and we left our drinks half finished. Beyond that, the service was average, at best.

The atmosphere of this place is as great as their Mai Tai drinks they’re famous for. Don’t expect any food but the bartender will surely have some stories to share

Bartender was super sweet, and the beer prices weren't too bad. Ambience is chill and relaxed and they had decent music going through the stereo. Can't wait to go back! Also, the mai Thai drink is amazing. Would recommend.
