The communication of this school is deplorable. I have contacted their student service center 4 times in the last week and I still have not received 1 email or callback. Before this semester I attempted to contact them for a month to make sure my financial aid was taken care of. I was ignored every time until financial aid finally went through less than a week before the semester started. I even tried to get my advisor involved and she never got back to me either. Then I amazingly got a message saying oh your financial aid already went through the day after it posted. Really? For what I pay to attend here I shouldn't have to wait a month for a response! Now I've been waiting 3 weeks for a tuition refund that was supposed to be here already. Guess what, going on day 5 and no answer. How can you not have anyone in place to help those of us in the online program?

First year was great. All the professors were fantastic and it went by smoothly. My second year... My history teacher never talked... He only played a two hour black and white video for every single class.. Maybe talked to us for 15 minutes but that's it. He only relied on his videos to teach us.. And then one of my English professors never showed up for half the class. It was an 8-9 am class and he'd come in 820-830 and lecture for a half hour.. But I'm paying for a full hour class yet he wasn't there half the time... And the math teacher can hardly speak English. I recorded the class one time and showed my parent and he laughed because you cannot understand what he's saying. Don't waste your time or your money here.

I am a parent of a student who transferred into Maryville at the start of her junior year. As a parent I have found that they answer all questions and follow through on what is promised. Yes they were more expensive than the state school that she attended but I have no doubt that our daughter will leave on time, with a degree in actuary science. More than that she will have had the internships and preparation for a career in the real world. Very impressed with their preparations for their programs.

Last year, my daughter chose Maryville as one of her choices for the direct entry DPT program. After applying before the early deadline with all of her information and application, she waited to hear if she had been accepted. During this time she interviewed for the same program at another one of her choices and was accepted into their program before she ever heard anything about her being accepted to Maryville at all. Went in to talk to her counselor at school because she still had heard nothing, and the counselor called to check on the status of her application. Maryville lost her transcript (which they later found, but had failed to contact my daughter or the school about this matter) and so she hadn't been considered. Once it was found she received a congratulatory letter informing her that all slots had been filled, but she was on the waiting list. Thanks, but no thanks. Maryville isn't even in the same league as her current school. Maryville's attitude was always felt like how lucky my daughter would be to go to their school. Current university's attitude has been bending over backward to show my daughter how lucky they are the she chose them. Total culture difference. I have also heard several stories of friends who received little to no communication from the university about their children's status, also. One student who had been wait-listed for her program, received an email notification that she still needed to register for her classes because the deadline was approaching. They had never told her she was accepted into the program!!! (Thankfully, she was accepted elsewhere). Maryville needs to up their game if they want to be considered as a school that is all about their students. Evidence and lack of professionalism with communicataion doesn't bear this out.

I received a Bachelors of Science in accountancy and business from the weekend and evening program. This was done back in the 90's while I worked full time and was raising a family. The faculty were accommodating and helpful. I had mostly positive experiences at Maryville University.

My Granddaughter just completed her 1st year at Maryville. We all love it. We have had nothing but respect from the staff, administration, admissions office, advisors, etc . They were all so helpful throughout the year. My Granddaughter made some great friends there this year. In fact don't think she was ready to move home for the summer. Great University. Be back in the fall

Excited to be a parent of a Maryville Saint!! I loved the warm reception when my son competed for his scholarship, which he won and will now be attending in the fall. Many success to not only my son, but the students, faculty and staff. The best is yet to come!!!

Trying to find parking is more stressful than my classes. Instead of spending money on cosmetic things (like the new “M”) the school should invest in parking lots. It’s ridiculous that people are forced to double park and park in illegal spots.

you'll do fine until close to the end then they'll drop grades in one class until you almost can't pass, change due dates and lower your grade on an assignment that is evaluating your peers in a group project... that's an opinion... so how do you get anything other than full credit? I guess the SJWs have taken over here too

I am very disappointed in my interview today with my enrollment adviser. It is unfortunate, that just because I am not "actively" working as a nurse due to caring for my youngest child, that I can not enroll in your FNP program. I have 10 years experience working in the Medical Surgical, Emergency room, and Cardiac PCU departments. I also graduated with a GPA of 3.4 from the University of Central Florida with my BSN. I have also worked at the Mayo Clinic for four years. Unfortunate for you that I will gladly take my money elsewhere.
