Company Description

On a balmy Sunday in June 1957, a group of about 50 Christians met in the cafeteria of Memorial Elementary School to worship.  Their goal – to start a new congregation on Houston’s blossoming west side. Thus began the Memorial Church of Christ congregation.  The small group desired to focus on Biblical teaching and on mission work in other parts of the country and abroad.

Grateful to be apart of the congregation. A place to worship, serve and grow in my relationship with God. Our family is deeply blessed by God and our brothers and sisters at Memorial. Lori M.

The Memorial Church of Christ is a wonderful place for families and young adults. They have so many activities and events for all ages. My wife and I felt very welcomed when we first visited and the church has a wonderful preacher and two worship services. Highly recommended!

Questionable streak-house. The steak tastes like Jesus, but it’s only served on Tuesday. It’s really busy on Sunday, I don’t know why, I don’t think there is even any food on Sunday. The owner / manager seems to have been a priest at one point, with all the lectures he’s giving to the customers. Go to this steakhouse if your curious, a very different experience.

MCOC is a welcoming place for kids of all ages, singles, couples and families, with Bible classes for everyone. If you aren't sure where to go, friendly greeters will help you. Excellent lessons and singing - and Bible hour for toddlers to 5-year-old children is offered during services. MCOC hosts many community events throughout the year, including a visit with Santa and super-fun VBS. MCOC is a safe place, with an indoor playground that is open during the week and a beautiful small chapel perfect for weddings.

Really enjoyed the Bible class. Knowledgeable teachers! ... the Honeymooners Bible class was fantastic. Worship was great too. Good sermon and acapella singing.

There were good songs and the congregation was very friendly. I enjoyed the singing. It's location is excellent for memorial residence, and I might visit again although I have closer churches in my area.
