This doctor is very knowledgeable. She sees you, listen to you and wants to help you. She is looking for a problem before recommending any treatment. She dedicate her time to you witch is very rare.

Called to make an appointment. The receptionist was extremely rude on the phone. Once she heard I didn’t have the desired insurance she wanted nothing to do with me. I was will to make the appointment and pay with cash. I have been suffering severe joint pain in my knees and ankles for over a month and they were totally unwilling to help. So much for their oath as doctors.

This is, hands down, the best doctor I have ever had the fortune of seeing. At 22 years old, I found myself dealing with a number of symptoms of poor health that I had never dealt with before and didn’t know how to handle, some were rheumatological but many were not. I was beginning to lose hope that I would ever be able to live a comfortable life without constantly being burdened by pain, discomfort or anxiety. On the suggestion of my mother who had gone to Dr. Sokolova for knee pain, I decided to pay her a visit. All I can say is that the dedication she and her staff show to the betterment of their patients is unparalleled. Nowhere else has a doctor spent nearly two hours sitting with me, going through my problems, history, and goals in order to devise a comprehensive treatment plan that incorporates SO many aspects of medicine and wellness (seriously, she knows everything there is to know about health). During my initial visit, the doctor looked me in the eye and sincerely told me that my issues were manageable, and she would do everything she could to help, and I was filled with an overwhelming sense of hope. It’s been about a year since I first started seeing her, and every day I get a little better. When I don’t make progress, she’s available and eager to make adjustments, and in a non-judgmental way. I would recommend her to anyone I know, for any health related problem - she can really give people their lives back.

Dysfunctional staff. I made an appointment, waited for it for over 2 weeks, took time off work to make it there, and when I came, the staff sent me home because they had no records of my appointment in their system. They screwed up but they would not accommodate. Never coming back. Stay away from this place if you value your time.

I usually don’t write reviews but the staffs and the doctor here is amazing, very attentive and caring. There’s barely any wait time, always in and out. I had a terrible experience with my previous rheumatologist, however, Dr. Sokolov is very knowledge, I feel at ease under her care.

I had a pain in my left ankle and was looking for help. So I called this office and got an appointment next day. After completing paperwork and answering nurse's questions I was seen by Dr. Sokolova. She examined me and asked a lot of questions not only about my pain but also about my lifestyle and eating habits. She spent about 40-45 minutes with me during the visit. Then I had to do a sonogram of my ankle and doctor gave an injection into my painful joint. It wasn't very pleasant but tolerable because Dr was using local anesthesia. It was more important that my pain went down significantly immediately after the injection and almost totally disappeared during the next few days. On my next visit doctor discussed my lab tests and sonogram findings. I thought I was in overall good health and it was disconcerting to find that my blood results were not so good but I think it's better to know the truth earlier. Dr recommended me a few supplements and prescribed some medications. Overall I am very satisfied with my experience in Dr. Sokolova's office. If it wasn't my ankle, I would never had time to take a better care of myself.

Please be wary of using this practice for your medical needs. My experiences with Dr. Sokolova are generally positive, but the office as a whole operates inefficiently and dispassionately, in part due to the cold and rude receptionists. As a patient with severe arthritis, it is disheartening and disappointing to be treated as though my problems are unimportant. In this line of work, the difference between good and bad service is life or death. I would warn any potential patients that their health and wellbeing may not be a top priority at this practice.

Great place. Been going there for a little over 6 months. The staff is friendly and the Dr’s there are easy to talk to and they even call for your next appointment to make sure you are going.

There is no words to describe how knowledgeable, professional and attentive this doctor is! She has a God giving talent that is so uncommon for medical professionals in our days! It is not just about business for her. It is about passion that she has for her profession and clients. I have NEVER been treated with the same level of care and attention to detail by any other doctor. She basically addresses every issue with my health even when it is not directly related to her field. I consider myself lucky to find a doctor like this. Her staff is very polite, courteous and efficient. Thank you, Dr Sokolova and everyone at the office!

I have been a patient of Dr. Yelena Sokolova for 13 months. I arrived for my first visit with a very bad flare of the rheumatoid arthritis that was diagnosed to me two years before and I had just finished a chemotherapy treatment for an endometrial cancer that was diagnosed to me 7 months before. She didn't only treat my RA to the point that today I am practically symptom free but she also brought my body to normal levels after the chemotherapy had left it completely depleted of all vitamins and with very high levels of heavy metals. Her holistic approach is exactly what I was looking for. She is the most intelligent doctor I have ever met in my whole life and I am 56 years old. I don't know what I would have done if I didn't find her. She was a life saver. I travel one and a half hours from Uptown Manhattan to her office in Brooklyn and I would travel even longer if I had to now that I know her. Her knowledge has no limits, the time she gives each patient is unmatchable and her open-mindedness to my requests is unique. I would recommend her to anyone no matter what their health issues are. She is kind, dedicated, understanding and so intelligent! I love her. Every single staff member is very professional and very nice as well.
