I received a wonderful education at the Northwestern University School of Professional Studies. The faculty is very diverse and continuously provided superb insights! My classmates had fascinating backgrounds, were strongly collaborative, and extraordinarily dynamic. It was a fantastic, world-class experience!
Northwestern SPS is definitely a good resource for people looking to fill in the gaps in their academic or professional pedigree. I am enrolled in the post-baccalaureate certificate accounting program and it has been excellent. In addition it is completely online.
Love my Cats! You can't go wrong if you're motivated to take on these studies. But be motivated! Don't show up with anything but your "A" game.
The masters in Predictive analytics is not worth the cost. The professors are not accessible. Do not expect any instruction. This is a self-study program that costs almost $ 4000 a class. It is sad to say that I went thru 25% of the program and feel this way. The programming requirements are high and there is no help or instruction provided. If you do not have a computer science or programming background do not purse this degree. Also, your program is in the school of continuing studies which may or may not look good as compared to being in a engineering or business school.
For those willing to venture away from the traditional classroom environment, the online Masters in Health Informatics offers a world class education and an opportunity to attend from anywhere. The curriculum is forward-thinking and provides actionable perspectives that working professionals can apply in their field as they learn. I highly recommend this program for the professional that wants to prepare for the future of using data to improve healthcare delivery.
I’m several years into my career and already making a decent paycheck, but I wanted to further my education and pursue a master’s degree. My dilemma was that if I enrolled in a full-time program I’d have to quit working, and while tuition is bad enough, giving up my income would be prohibitively expensive. I wondered if there was such a thing as a high quality part-time online master’s program. I can now say that from my observation Northwestern University has such programs...
