Company Description
We are the largest African-American congregation in the Evangelical Covenant Churches of America. Although Oakdale is primarily an African-American congregation, it was founded in 1902 as a Swedish immigrant congregation at 8801 South Normal on the South Side of Chicago, Illinois. During the late 1960s the surrounding community experienced a cultural and ethnic transition dramatically altering the congregation’s ethnic make-up.

The best church in the city of Chicago, the people are always friendly, the preaching is on point, the choir sings beautifully, and the service has helped me to get closer to Jesus Christ my Lord and savior.
This is a Great church with Great people serving a Great God.!! Great for children, and young adults,
GREAT church, with GREAT people, serving a GREAT God... From the motto of being the community church that cares!
This church has been a spiritual guidance for me and my family. I have been away for some. Time but will continue to visit every sunday from this day forward.
