I really wanted to like this guy. I really did. He has great reviews and does work for very cheap. But frankly, he is not very friendly, and I just had to take my car to be diagnosed at an auto parts store because I had been hearing squeaking for weeks under my hood after Paul did work on the car. The past two days I smelled burning rubber, and as it turned out, Paul did work on the car back in March and apparently left a grounding wire unattached to the engine. I had the car inspected a month later (also by Paul), and he noticed that the battery was not fully charged, but did not mention that the wire was disconnected. The wire had been rubbing up against a belt wheel for weeks and had burned off all of the rubber coating on the grounding wire, exposing the copper inside. I was told had it not been discovered for another week, my battery would have been completely drained and I probably would have had to replace it. I don't think this was done intentionally, but his shop is very dim, and it's likely that he misses things due to low lighting and because he tries to do jobs as quickly as possible. Careless mistakes can end up costing a lot of money -- consider going elsewhere for major car repairs.
Oil change and a used tire: 211 dollars. Yeah, no. Go to Woody's in Everett and get a brand new tire for 100 mounted and balanced. Then go to Valvoline and get an oil change and treat yourself to dinner on me. This place is owned by Roberts Towing. Garbage people
Paolo is honest, reliable and dependable. He charges very reasonably and will always go above and beyond to explain the details of this issue if you want to learn. He has never been anything short of 100% transparent with me and I trust him with my car more than any other mechanic out there. I strongly recommend to any client who want honest, efficient service.
If you are looking for a simple oil change and repair, this is the perfect shop. Mechanic is very friendly Brazilian man, who was willing to fix the problem instead of overcharging whatever I had no knowledge of. My visit to P C Auto Repair was very satisfying.
